EA Motive has responded after an unfinished trailer for its long-awaited Iron Man game leaked online, giving fans their first substantial look at the project.
More than two minutes of work-in-progress footage surfaced on ResetEra on August 28, showing Tony Stark rocketing around a city, various types of combat, and what appeared to be a cutomization system for Tony’s suit.
Rather than ignoring the leak, the developer quickly acknowledged that what fans were watching was real.

“Well, that didn’t go as planned,” the official Iron Man game account wrote on X after the footage spread online.
“But now you know, and we’ve got a lot more to show you. See you when we’re ready.”
The footage itself is clearly unfinished, with a visible “AUG26” watermark and various placeholder assets on display. Despite that, however, some sections look exceptionally polished, especially in the opening moments.
In the footage, Stark, in the Iron Man suit, can be seen flying at high speed through a large city before transitioning between aerial and ground combat, using his repulsors, missiles, melee attacks, and other weapons against enemies.
The footage also includes several familiar sights, including a section that sees Stark fight numerous enemies aboard S.H.I.E.L.D.’s helicarrier.
EA and Marvel Games first announced Iron Man in September 2022, describing it as a single-player, third-person action-adventure game featuring an original story built around Tony Stark.
Motive has shared little publicly about the project in the years since, making the sudden appearance of what appears to be a recent internal trailer particularly significant.
Despite acknowledging the project is still clearly in active development, EA has not announced a release date or confirmed when fans will get their first official look.
