The story, following Asta, a boy born with no mana and unable to use conventional Magic, has stuck with fans. His journey to becoming Wizard King was a compelling one, and the incredible battles along the way have built this story up as one of the best series to come out of the magazine in the 2010s.
Black Clover should have technically ended a while ago, but the story by Yuki Tabata was transferred to the seasonal magazine Jump GIGA in 2023 due to the health issues faced by the creator. This switch definitely killed the momentum of the manga, as chapter releases became slower, and many fans lost interest. Thus, we’ve known about this new art book since August 4, 2026. However, back then, we had no idea when this new project would be released. Now, Shueisha has confirmed that Tabata’s new art book, currently without an official title, is coming on November 10, 2026. This information was revealed in WSJ with a new illustration of Asta as the 29th Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom.
What To Expect From The Upcoming Black Clover Artbook
While many fans have lost interest in Black Clover and its lore due to its extended hiatus, the series still has many dedicated fans who are eager to see more content. The art book thus has many fans eagerly awaiting its release. As the November 10 project is an art book, many fans, of course, anticipate a lot of new illustrations to be brought to light. The nature of these illustrations is naturally going to make this upcoming project all the more intriguing.
New illustrations by Yuki Tabata from this year could finally be revealed, but there is also anticipation of new concept art and older sketches. Concept art could include early designs and sketches never used in the final edition of the story. When it comes to new content from Yuki Tabata, the upcoming final art book, coming out on November 10, 2026, could very well be the last one for a while. That is because, at the moment, there is no project from the original creator announced beyond what we already know. No new chapters or projects are planned, which leaves the future of Black Clover, after the release of the art book, entirely in the hands of the anime.

This new season is now officially scheduled to run for 24 episodes, meaning that it will still be airing when the art book releases. Even after Black Clover Season 2 is over, the series would require one more anime installment to conclude the story and cover Judgment Day.
In other words, Studio Pierrot could be extending Black Clover’s run until, at the very least, 2027 or 2028.
