Nintendo Switch 2 owners looking forward to the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time can already save 14% on the upcoming remake, despite the game not launching until November 5. While discounts on major Nintendo exclusives aren’t always easy to come by, Amazon is giving players an opportunity to save some money on Zelda: Ocarina of Time before the game even launches (and before Black Friday 2026 officially gets underway).
The Ocarina of Time remake has obviously been one of the most talked-about Nintendo Switch 2 games since its announcement, bringing the Nintendo 64 classic back with completely rebuilt visuals and modernized gameplay. The original 1998 release is widely regarded as one of the greatest video games ever made, making its return a particularly big deal for longtime Zelda fans. Of course, Nintendo is also hoping to introduce an entirely new generation to Link’s most iconic adventure.
Get a 14% Discount on Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’s Physical Edition
Right now, Amazon is offering The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for $59.88, down from its usual $69.99 price. This represents a savings of $10.11, or approximately 14%, and applies to pre-orders of the physical Nintendo Switch 2 edition. The offer is available through Amazon’s online storefront, although prices and availability could change before release, so fans should make sure to lock in the price with a pre-order at the link below.

It’s worth noting that Nintendo recently adopted a new pricing strategy for some of its biggest Nintendo Switch 2 releases that makes physical editions $10 more expensive than their digital counterparts. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time follows this approach, with its physical edition normally costing $69.99 compared to $59.99 digitally. Consequently, Amazon’s 14% discount essentially brings the physical version down to the price of a digital copy (actually 11 cents cheaper). It isn’t necessarily an enormous discount in that context, but it does eliminate the premium Nintendo charges for physical ownership, making it an appealing option for players who prefer having their games on a shelf.
Although Black Friday officially falls on November 27, retailers have already started introducing early discounts on major Nintendo Switch 2 games. Amazon’s Ocarina of Time offer is particularly noteworthy because the game will have been available for only a few weeks by the time Black Friday arrives. There’s no guarantee that Nintendo’s biggest holiday release will receive a better discount during the shopping event, especially considering how popular the original Legend of Zelda game remains. The physical edition also gives collectors something to consider, with early copies featuring special foil cover artwork.
November will no doubt be an interesting month for the industry. While most of the gaming industry is avoiding launching too closely to the expected juggernaut release in Grand Theft Auto 6, Nintendo is not afraid to drop Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time just two weeks before GTA 6. Dubbed the “Ocarina of Crime” month with these two releases, fans of both franchises are hopefully eating good between the two.
