A Twitch streamer lost a finger while attempting to jump a fence at Rock in Rio, despite already having a ticket to the festival.
Brazilian streamer Adalton Rodrigues, known online as Lodk, was broadcasting with a friend when he attempted to enter Rio de Janeiro’s Cidade do Rock through a restricted area.
According to UOL, the 31-year-old wanted to test the festival’s security and expose a possible weakness for content.
“The idea was to see if I could find a security flaw. I got there early, walked around the Cidade do Rock a few times, looking around and checking things out,” he said.
Lodk had a valid ticket but arrived early and searched for another way inside. He reportedly considered renting a canoe before spotting a fence near a gas station and deciding to climb over it.
During the attempt, a ring on his right hand became caught on the barrier, severely injuring his ring finger.

The streamer said he did not immediately realize what had happened after landing on the other side. His friend then spotted the finger still caught on the fence.
Lodk was taken to Hospital Municipal Lourenço Jorge in Barra da Tijuca. Doctors determined the finger could not be reattached and completed an amputation to prevent infection.
The hospital confirmed that he underwent surgery and was later discharged.
“I looked at my hand and it was just bone, because the whole finger hadn’t been ripped off, but all the skin had come off,” he said, noting that he only felt pain when the hospital cleaned his wound.
Lodk has since admitted he regrets the stunt. He also deleted footage of the incident because he feared the graphic content could result in action against his Twitch channel, which has approximately 17,900 followers.
The Rock in Rio organizers said the fence was within the festival’s perimeter but outside its legal entrance area. The restricted location was monitored and only accessible to authorized workers with credentials.
Organizers also warned that attempts to enter by jumping fences or using unauthorized routes are dangerous. Rock in Rio said its security operation includes more than 2,000 guards, 152 surveillance cameras, drones, body cameras and radar systems.
The incident comes days after another streamer attending Rock in Rio became the subject of a police investigation following an encounter with a Brazilian actor outside the festival.
Elsewhere, a Kick streamer recently faced backlash for approaching the wreckage of a fatal plane crash while broadcasting.
