Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to a statement about artificial intelligence playing God in the future and how it may affect humanity. The trillionaire reposted a post made by X user @naval on August 16, 2026, and it goes about putting a leash on a being with higher power.
“I hope AI is nice to us,”
The post highlights the businessman’s level of humor, especially since he has been championing for AI. After the post went live, several users took the time to express their thoughts.
“Wtf do you mean hope. It’s your job as the guy making it to ensure it is,” X user @Degenloni replied.

Other users likened the advancement of artificial intelligence in films like the Terminator franchise.
