One of the many new features added in Pokopia Expansion Pass is an underwater Watermelon crop. While Corsola helps you grow the Watermelon, another Pokemon shows you one of the best ways to use it. With just a blender and enough crops, you can make a smoothie and power up Surf, which essentially means you can get an easy upgrade for Lapras and a way to make fun and delicious drinks!

How to Get the Blender in Pokopia

After you build the beautiful building, in the Pokopia Expansion Pass you’ll notice that you can talk with Mudkip. They have a request for you. They describe wanting to try their food all mixed together, and you learn the recipe for a Blender. All you need to make a Blender is two Pokemetal. Once you have the Pokemetal needed, you can craft the blender at the workbench. To power it, you’ll need to have an electric Pokemon charge it by bringing them to the blender.

You can only get the Blender (and Watermelon) with the Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC.

With a powered blender, you can bring sliced watermelon and other crops to it to make a smoothie. In order to get a sliced watermelon, you need to give the watermelon crop to a Pokemon with the Chop ability like Totodile or Carvanha. Once you have a smoothie, consuming it powers up your Surf ability.

What Does the Powered-Up Surf Ability Do in Pokopia?

With regular Surf, you can transform into Lapras and surf across the top of the water. After you drink a smoothie and power it up, you have a new ability. While underwater in Bubbly Basin, you can now transform into Lapras. This allows you to move more quickly through the water. While using powered-up Surf, you will be able to travel without sinking in the water while moving. You can use the L and R buttons to rise and lower more freely.

You can also use this new ability to break the blocks and items around you with the ZR button. Ditto spits a whirlpool of water out of their mouth, clearing a 2x2x2 area of space at a time. When you exit water, you will exit surf mode, so this only applies to underwater areas.
