All Health & Energy Upgrade Locations in Hellraiser Revival

Hellraiser Revival has collectibles that will increase your HP and your Configuration Cube’s Energy. There are a total of 5 Pain Pillars and 5 Suffering Pillars, and we’ll show the locations for each of these in chronological order so you don’t miss a thing.

Pain Pillar #1 Location (Max HP Upgrade #1)

  • Encountered during the Free Sunny’s Soul objective

This pain pillar is located in the Labyrinth realm. You will find this after your first encounter with Pinhead. He will tell you about Cenobites and their purpose, then he will leave you in a dead-end room.

The moment he leaves, you will have a single path behind you. Follow it, and at the end of the path you will see a shadow of Sunny leaning on a glass wall, but as you approach it, a spiky object will come out. You need to turn back and run away to exit the spiky pyramid’s railway.

Follow the only available path until you reach an area where there are snake-like pins on the wall, and you have to crouch to pass through. This is where the path to the pain pillar begins. After you go beyond the snake pins, there is a path to your right, but a spiky pyramid is going back and forth on it.

Wait for it to reach your location, then follow it and turn right as soon as possible. There is no path to the right, but the small space will keep you safe from the moving pyramid. Now, wait for the pyramid to pass by your location and then immediately continue the path forward.

When you reach the end of the railway, turn right. You should now be able to see a crack in the wall ahead with some sort of red flower behind it. You need to turn right from here, and then you can easily spot the pain pillar at the end of the corridor.

Suffering Pillar #1 Location (Max Energy Upgrade #1)

  • Encountered during the Free Sunny’s Soul objective

The next time that you meet Pinhead, he brings you to the field of souls. When he leaves you this time, you descend a spiral staircase with some traps. After you exit the spiral stairs, you are in a corridor with a bright, glowing red scene beyond the wall at the end.

Turn left when you reach that cracked wall, and you will spot the Suffering pillar ahead. However, it’s located in the middle of the room, with two spiky pyramids rotating around it on a railway. Your best bet is to wait for one pyramid to pass, then follow it closely until you find the opening to the middle of the room on your left.

Second Suffering Pillar (Max Energy Upgrade 2)

After you beat up that bald man inside the prison cell, that scary walking cenobite will chase you again. Eventually, you will find yourself outside of the narrow corridors, stepping into a misty open field with broken pillars and crushed concrete blocks.

Here, your best guide to find the next Suffering Pillar is to follow the blood splash on the ground. Just look at the ground, and you will spot a blood splash every 5 to 10 meters. These blood marks ensure that you are following the correct path towards the Suffering pillar.

After you reach the end of this misty path, the pillar is located on the right. The final blood mark is a long one that steers you towards a lit torch on a pillar next to the Suffering pillar.

Third Suffering Pillar (Max Energy Upgrade 3)

  • Encountered during the Give Charlotte’s Heart to Sunny objective

This one is hard to miss, as it is located on your path to a main objective. After you defeat Charlotte and take out its heart, a staircase will emerge from the ground. If you follow it to the underground, you will find the next Suffering pillar on your path.

Second Pain Pillar (Max HP Upgrade 2)

  • Encountered during the Give Charlotte’s Heart to Sunny objective

After activating the last Suffering pillar, continue the path to the left until you see a torch on the wall. You will reach a red room here with spikes on the wall activating and deactivating periodically. Wait for the closest spike to you to come out, then run forward quickly.

Turn right at the end of the corridor and follow the only available path until you reach a long corridor with some chains hanging from the ceiling and a white light at the far end. You need to move straight ahead here until you reach the end of the corridor, just watch out for the spike trap along the path!

Turn left at the end of the corridor and follow the path to the right. Just as you are about to pass over a bridge, the bridge will rotate, and you will have to turn around and return to the same spike trap. After you move beyond the trap, turn right immediately. This path will end up in a small room where the second Pain pillar is located.

Fourth Suffering Pillar (Max Energy Upgrade 4)

  • Encountered during the Hunt Marlowe — Exit the Labyrinth objective

After you meet the Sister of Mercy for the first time and manage to escape from her, you will find yourself in the Labyrinth realm. When you approach the Configuration cube, it moves away from you. After surpassing some traps in the narrow corridors, you will find the cube again to pick up.

After that, you open a door that leads to a new room in the Labyrinth. Here, there are three walls that you can rotate. Each time you rotate them, you create a new path for yourself. The goal is to set up the walls in a way that leads you to the Suffering pillar in the final wall:

  1. Rotate the first wall twice clockwise.
  2. Rotate the second wall three times clockwise.
  3. Finally, rotate the third wall three times clockwise as well.
  4. This should create a clear path towards the Suffering pillar.

After upgrading the Configuration cube, go back to the second wall and then rotate the third wall slowly until you create a path that reaches the other end of the room.

Third Pain Pillar (Max HP Upgrade 3)

  • Encountered during the Hunt Marlowe — Exit the Labyrinth objective

After activating the last Suffering pillar, you will see yourself collapsed next to an armchair, and then you will climb up a ladder to reach a new room inside the Labyrinth again. If you look up and left in the new room, you can clearly see the Pain pillar, but reaching it requires some puzzle solving.

Move ahead towards the stairs. Let it rotate and then go upstairs. Follow the path towards the next staircase and let it rotate as well. On top of the stairs, go right, then left, and stand on the blood splash. Look to your left and try to move the two blue blocks next to each other, as if you are creating a bridge towards the Pain pillar.

Then, take the energy from the last block you moved and throw it at a pillar on your right. This will create a path towards a red corridor at the corner of the room. As soon as you exit the red corridor, turn left, and you will find yourself on the bridge you just created using those blue blocks.

Fourth Pain Pillar (Max HP Upgrade 4)

  • Encountered during the Give Sister of Mercy’s Heart to Sunny objective

After you defeat the Sister of Mercy and claim her heart, move to the top of the wide staircase, where the white screens are located. On top, you will find a Labyrinth corridor that leads to a Pain pillar. It’s as easy as that!

Fifth Suffering Pillar (Max Energy Upgrade 5)

  • Encountered during the Hunt Marlowe objective

After giving Sister of Mercy’s heart to Sunny, you will enter the Labyrinth again. This time, you will find yourself in an open field with a black ray of shadows hunting you. The main goal is to hide behind the pillars and concrete blocks to stay hidden from the ray.

You should use the ability of the Configuration cube to raise the pillars, hide behind them, and move forward. Keep in mind that if you run, the black ray will recognize you quickly. So, try to wait for the ray to move away from your position, then crouch and move slowly towards the next cover.

You need to move ahead until you find a thin pillar that glows blue. Then you should take the energy from it and throw it at a block on the right side of the field, behind a cracked wall. It’s easy to spot once you take the energy.

Once you throw the energy at the block, come back towards that cracked wall, as there is an entrance that leads to the block you just activated. Beyond that block, you will find the Suffering pillar. This is the final Suffering upgrade in the game.

Fifth Pain Pillar (Max HP Upgrade 5)

  • Encountered during the Hunt Marlowe objective

After making your way to the narrow alleys, you will come across a locked door that requires a missing bell. When you eventually find the bell and solve its puzzle, the door will open up. You will enter a corridor with some paintings on the wall, then you will step into a room with a TV.

Next to the TV, there is a cyan door. Open it and go inside, then wait for the spiky pyramid to pass by. Now, approach the wall with the painting and solve its puzzle according to the image above.

As soon as you solve it, the door will open up automatically, and you will find the final Pain pillar beyond it.
