Popular Twitch streamer Hasan Piker recently responded to a former representative’s callout, claiming Republicans hate America.
On August 5, 2026, former U.S. Representative Mike Rogers took to X to post a video criticizing his running mate, Abdul El-Sayed, along with several other left-wing candidates as well as popular Twitch streamer Hasan Piker. Rogers accused them of being “radical leftists who hate America.” Piker soon fired back, stating:
“no one hates america and americans more than the republicans who burn our tax dollars on endless wars for profit and plunder at the behest of the epstein class. you are their servant. you will lose.”
Throughout the Michigan Democratic Senate primary election between Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens, Piker campaigned for the former via livestreams and social media posts. Following El-Sayed’s victory, the popular Twitch streamer celebrated it by claiming, “Michigan will never be considered a swing state ever again.”

On February 5, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports. This move was criticized by several left-leaning commentators across social media. During a livestream in late July 2026, Twitch streamer Hasan Piker reflected on the issue, stating:
“This is not an issue that impacts any American in a significant manner, right? It is a clearly, purposefully concocted narrative that was focus tested by the Republicans in an effort to make that the key fixture of American politics. Donald Trump did it. He banned transgender athletes. Did that help you? Do you feel better now? Do you feel like your life is improved in any significant manner? Of course not… It was always a f****** distraction. A very violent one for the tiny minority of transgender people. It’s horrible for them but it’s not good for you.”
Piker started streaming on Twitch in March 2018, while also working for progressive YouTube channel The Young Turks. After he left TYT in January 2020, Piker focused on his career as a Twitch personality, amassing a follower count of over 3 million on the platform.
