Burger King is giving customers a free Whopper with no purchase required, but the limited-time offer can only be claimed by sending a specific text message.
Fast food deals often require customers to download an app, join a loyalty program, or spend money to qualify. Burger King’s latest giveaway is much simpler.
Customers in the US only need to text “SEND-THIS-TEXT-FOR-FREE-WHOPPER” to 250783. Burger King will then reply with a link that provides access to the free burger.
Food influencer Snackolator confirmed the promotion on August 6, telling followers that no additional purchase is necessary.
How to claim Burger King’s free Whopper
After sending the message, customers can follow the link provided by Burger King to receive their offer for a classic Whopper.
The deal must be redeemed in person at a participating Burger King restaurant and cannot be used for delivery or an online order.
According to Parade, the coupon expires 14 days after being added to a customer’s account. Burger King has not confirmed when the text promotion itself will end, meaning customers may want to claim it quickly.
The classic Whopper includes a quarter-pound flame-grilled beef patty with tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, pickles, and sliced onions on a toasted sesame seed bun. Of course, customization options are available, and customers can add upgrades such as cheese and bacon for an extra cost.
