Streamer Asmongold fires back at Mehdi Hasan with a stark warning about citizenship, asset seizure, and deportation.
Asmongold has reignited his public clash with journalist Mehdi Hasan after responding to a post from the political commentator on X.
On August 28, 2026, Asmongold went live on his second Twitch channel, zackrawrr, where he discussed several topics and eventually commented on Hasan. During the stream, the streamer argued that Hasan should be deported and said he should be sent back to where his parents came from:
“By the way, if it was up to me, all of the people like Mehdi Hassan would have their citizenship stripped and be sent back to whatever place their parents came from, or they came from, or their grandparents came from. I would totally remove these people from Western civilization. I would take all of their stuff, I would send them back, you can keep the shoes on your feet, and you can never come back to this country.”
Asmongold also claimed that people like Hasan are supporters of terrorism, further escalating his criticism of the journalist:
“These people are terrorist supporters; they are subversive, they hate Western civilization, they are the enemy within, and they need to be removed. I don’t want these people in the country. And I view Western civilization as a collective. This is a collective consciousness between Canada, America, almost all of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and maybe one or two others that I’m not thinking of.”
A few hours after the stream ended, Hasan reshared the clip on X. While sharing the video, the journalist addressed what he described as repeated targeting from people like Asmongold:
“This is what me and my family put up with almost every day and yet some liberals like @shannonrwatts were mocking me for raising the issue of Islamophobia earlier.”
However, Asmongold did not leave the matter at the livestream comments. After Hasan shared the clip, the streamer reposted Hasan’s post and escalated his criticism:
“If you think this is bad, imagine putting up with the terrorism you run defense for and minimize… If it was up to me, you and every other foreign terrorist supporter would have your citizenship stripped, assets seized, and sent back to whatever shithole your family spawned from.”
Asmongold Targeted Another Leftist Person
Asmongold turned his attention to a prominent left-wing streamer during his August 28, 2026 livestream.
During the same stream in which he commented on journalist Mehdi Hasan, the streamer also targeted Hasan Piker. He spoke about Piker while discussing the political commentator’s reputation and how audiences respond to his content.
The 36-year-old claimed that the reason many people dislike Piker is because of his behavior:
“It’s crazy how it’s all a conspiracy, and there’s never even the possibility that the reason why people don’t like you is because of the way that you act. There’s no way that could be the case. So it’s this, like, meta-level, four-dimensional chess reason that you’ve invented.”
The comments quickly drew attention because Piker is one of the most prominent political streamers on the internet and has frequently been involved in heated exchanges with other creators.
