On August 17, 2026, local authorities arrested a Florida woman after she set her kitchen on fire. The woman is Meliza Campos-Sanchez, a 26-year-old and a mother of two. Campos-Sanchez recorded herself setting her kitchen on fire while her two children are still inside the house, and another video surfaced where she was pouring hot wax over her daughters.
Meliza Campos-Sanchez has a large following on Instagram, where she often posts videos and photos of her family. The 26-year-old is facing multiple charges, such as child abuse, first-degree arson, and two counts of child neglect.

Florida Woman Was Arrested for Arson and Child Abuse
The investigators reached out to the husband and discovered new details. According to Yusniel Cue, they have been experiencing some issues with their marriage. Cue was not around during the incident and reportedly stayed with his parents and left his daughters with their mother. Concerned friends reached out to Cue and showed him the videos of his wife on Instagram. Cue returned home to see the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue on the scene and reunited with his young children.
Prior to the recent videos on Instagram, Cue also mentioned that his wife attempted to take her own life once, and he reached out to the authorities. After the Florida woman set her kitchen on fire, the eldest daughter came forth and told investigators she and her sister were still inside the house. She saw her mother put out the fire using a bowl of water to put out the fire she started. The Florida woman was taken to the hospital and was sedated.
