Former Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized President Donald Trump in an X post on October 25, 2026. Greene wrote that Trump “has become a curse to Republican candidates and it will be worse in ’28.” She was responding to remarks Trump made about Georgia at a campaign rally in Perry on October 24, 2026. Trump was campaigning for Republican Senate nominee Rep. Mike Collins and gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson.

Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote in the post:

“He has no idea how bad he is doing in GA. And to threaten our state that he would refuse to help the good people of Georgia just because he doesn’t like who calls him shows how much he really doesn’t care.

Trump has become a curse to Republican candidates and it will be worse in ’28.”

Greene also quote-posted a clip from the rally. Trump withdrew his endorsement of Greene in November 2025, and she later resigned from Congress in January 2026.

During the rally, Trump said Collins “could call me anytime he wants.” He also said there was “a big difference between that and Pee-wee Herman calling,” and acted out an exchange:

“Tell him I’m not in. I’m not in. But he needs money for Georgia. I don’t give a **** what he wants. I’m not in.”

Earlier in the speech, Trump used the same name for the Democratic candidate in a 2017 Georgia special election for Congress. He then said that candidate “looked very much to me like Pee-wee Herman.” That candidate was Jon Ossoff, the Democratic senator who faces Collins on November 3, 2026.

After acting out the call, Trump then said at the rally:

“Probably I shouldn’t say that because they’ll say, ‘This is not appropriate.’”

Trump added that it “makes a big difference” who calls him. He described the callers as “people that you like” and “people that you can’t stand.” Greene then posted her response on October 25, 2026.
