Popular streamer Zack “Asmongold” recently reacted to a video that supposedly shows a soldier allegedly shooting a migrant with a rubber bullet while attempting to cross the border. On August 16, 2026, popular X user @BProudPatriot shared the clip, which quickly went viral. The video prompted a reaction from Asmongold, who had this to say:
“This it how easy it is. You can just shoot the people who come across the border illegally and then they run away. The only language the third world understands is violence.”
Zack has previously shared similar sentiments on his livestreams. The popular streamer faced criticism for his comments about the Moroccan-Spanish immigration crisis. He said:
“I’d shoot whoever. I mean, if it’s kids, women, men, anybody, just shoot them. They’re going to stop coming over. Because if you don’t do that, they will use children and women as shields to get themselves over. And then they’ll put more women and children at risk because they know that they can use them as collateral so they get more of themselves over. That’s the way it works. That’s the way an animal thinks, and these people are animals. It’s just the way it is. They’re savages.”
Zack is currently under a two-week suspension on Twitch. Although the Amazon-owned platform has not disclosed the reason for the ban, many speculate that his comments may have contributed to it.
On August 11, 2026, @LeadingReport on X shared President Donald Trump’s quote that says, ‘2% of the people cause 91% of the crime.’ The next day, Asmongold decided to share his thoughts. He wrote:
“It’s catching on. If you removed and institutionalized the bottom 2% of society, everyone’s quality of life would immediately improve. No more plexiglass CVS cabinets, no flock cameras, 24/7 Walmarts return. You have no idea how much these “people” inconvenience you.”
