MrBeast has teased a possible rap album under his MrLean alter ego after teaming up with Lil Baby for a music video.
The TikTok shows Jimmy Donaldson performing alongside the rapper in front of luxury cars. Wearing sunglasses, a black Nike jacket and a Beast-logo chain, the YouTuber brings back the look associated with his viral TikTok persona.
In the caption accompanying his Instagram upload, Donaldson asked whether viewers would want to hear more from the character.
“Should hood MrBeast drop an album?” he captioned the collab on TikTok.
Donaldson posed the idea as a question for viewers, rather than announcing an album. Whether he intends to record a full project remains unclear.
MrLean began with a viral TikTok trend
The persona grew out of the “hood MrBeast” trend in spring 2025, when TikTok users dressed like the YouTuber with chains and stacks of cash. After fans asked him to participate, Donaldson joined in on May 18.
“I’m not doing the hood MrBeast trend, stop asking,” he said before the video switched to shots of him aboard a private jet and in other locations. The caption introduced his alter ego: “You can call me MrLean now.”
By May 26, the upload had become his most-liked TikTok video at the time, with more than 233 million views and 23.3 million likes. He followed it with another set of photos alongside Kai Cenat.
Donaldson has taken part in music collaborations before. In 2022, he posted a TikTok with Benny Blanco showing himself playing a single keyboard note for Bad Decisions, Blanco’s track with BTS and Snoop Dogg.
Lil Baby has also previously worked with KSI, featuring alongside Rick Ross and S-X on Down Like That, which reached No. 10 on the UK singles chart in 2019.
