A 19-year-old Canadian from Ontario, William Munro, travelled to controversial influencer Clavicular’s Camp Looksmax. According to USA Today, William Munro did not tell his parents about his plans and spent $7,000 to get to the event. The enrollment fee was $5,000, and Munro reportedly spent $2,000 on plane tickets to fly from Toronto to Los Angeles.

However, the story does not end there. The teen, who is a business major at Western University, is now trying to get his hands on $40,000 for facial surgery. As a prominent voice in the looksmaxing subculture, Clavicular frequently advocates for cosmetic surgeries. These include controversial procedures such as bonesmashing, limb lengthening, and double jaw surgery. As per USA Today, Munro attended the seven-day event starting October 1, 2026. Now he reportedly wants a double jaw surgery after learning about it during Camp Looksmax.

While mostly used to fix underbites, overbites, or other conditions like sleep apnea, the double jaw surgery can also be used for purely aesthetic reasons. The surgery includes reshaping jaw bones using stitches and surgical screws. According to Cleveland Clinic, recovery can take years. Despite this, Munro is looking forward to the $40,000 surgery. He reportedly thinks his parents will come around to it and said:

“I do see them understanding. I just have to give a nice, thorough presentation.”

Munro also gave his thoughts about wanting to look better. The teenager told USA Today about his reasoning. He said that he could have a “more positive experience” in life if he is “good-looking”:

“If I’m good-looking and I’m going to go talk to people in general – doesn’t have to be the opposite sex – I’m gonna have a much more positive experience.”

The 19-year-old acknowledged that the surgery is expensive, but added that it was worth it:

“It’s a lot of money, but for me, it’s worth it.”

Clavicular’s event was mired in controversy as authorities charged him with alleged sexual assault in September 2026. At a hearing on October 22, the influencer pleaded not guilty, according to the BBC. He posted $10,000 bail, and the court ordered him to surrender his passport. The next hearing is on November 24.
