During the Fighting For Ohio campaign rally, former President Barack Obama talked about Trump’s projects. As part of the speech, the former president highlighted how the current president is more focused on home renovations than on more pressing matters. Those in attendance got a good laugh at the former president’s analogy and his quips and said, “He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory.”
“Things have not worked out the way we might have expected, although, I must say, I did expect it. And let’s be honest, does anybody really think this guy in the White House right now is spending all that time thinking about these issues? I mean, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovations.”
The former president criticized Trump for his actions. The crowd was ecstatic with the former president’s sense of humor and seemingly agreed with his opinions.

Former President Barack Obama Talks About the Current President’s Priority to Renovate the White House
Former President Barack Obama continued by sarcastically saying that Trump should be featured on HGTV. He was also curious about the president’s obsession with gold decorations. Later, he jokingly mentioned Saddam Hussein and talked about how the White House has now become a more luxurious building than it is supposed to be.
“He should be on HGTV! Guy’s building a ballroom that’s bigger than the White House, paved over the Rose Garden, and put a helicopter pad on the South Lawn, and—and there’s gold everywhere. What’s up with the gold? Everything—more gold… He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. It’s gold everywhere.”
In the same event, Obama also mentioned how the current administration is directly responsible for other global situations. The former president talked about how Trump handled Iran and the chain reaction of problems that followed.
