Elon Musk reveals Tesla Cybercab will support gaming consoles, claiming the autonomous robotaxi provides safer transport than human drivers.
Elon Musk has highlighted another feature that could make Tesla’s upcoming Cybercab more than just a way to get from one place to another.
The official Tesla account posted on X on September 3, 2026, describing the Cybercab’s interior. The front of the cabin holds a 22-inch touchscreen built for passengers rather than a driver, since the vehicle has no steering wheel or pedals.
Tesla said riders can use the screen for movies, music, and games during their trip. The company also said the setup makes rides more enjoyable and safer, since nobody behind the wheel means one less distraction to manage:
“The future of transport is safer, more enjoyable & gives you more time back. With theater, music & gaming apps on a 22″ touchscreen, Cybercab offers you a space to be productive or unwind. Soon to be equipped with V5 Starlink hardware, too, for complete connectivity.”
A day later, on September 4, 2026, Musk reposted Tesla’s message and added that passengers will be able to plug PlayStation or Xbox consoles directly into the car:
“You will be able to plug in your PlayStation or Xbox.”
A Financial Influencer Praised Elon Musk After Experiencing Tesla’s Cybercab
Financial creator Caleb Hammer recently praised Musk and Tesla’s Cybercab after getting a firsthand look at the company’s robotaxi technology.
On September 3, 2026, Hammer shared a Tesla post on X that promoted the Cybercab’s robotaxi service in Austin, Texas. Hammer said he had recently experienced a ride in the Cybercab himself and appeared impressed by the technology.
Following the experience, he gave Musk credit for turning the concept of autonomous transportation into something people can now experience on the road:
“Just had one of the first rides ever. Game changer. Comfy, huge space, smooth as f**k. The future is here. Well done, Elon.”
The Cybercab also differs from conventional Tesla vehicles in its design. It does not feature a steering wheel or standard pedals because it is built to operate without a human driver. Tesla’s system relies on cameras and sensors to help the vehicle navigate roads, intersections, and parking spaces.
The vehicle is designed with two seats and butterfly-style doors. It is intended to operate within Tesla’s autonomous ride-hailing network, allowing users to request trips through the Robotaxi service while the Cybercab handles the driving.
