Over its more than 30 years of history, the Digimon franchise has impressed fans by releasing a plethora of amazingly designed monsters to inhabit the enigmatic Digital World. While focus on these creatures tends to favor those seeking order and justice, such as the legendary members of the Royal Knights, there are several groups with much darker ideals who have also enchanted fans.

Such is the case of Digimon’s Devil, better known as Demon-Types, who consider the dangerous Dark Area of the Digital World as their home. Although not inherently evil, these monsters often allow their instincts and desires to guide their actions, doing anything within their means to reach a goal. Still, only a handful have the might and ability to defy the laws of the world and claim the power they believe they deserve.

Enmamon

Yomi, also known as the Digital Realm of the Dead, is the place where corrupt or defective Digicores are kept to prevent them from returning as DigiEggs. This place is ruled by Enmamon, a Demon-like creature who enforces the rules of his domain with an iron fist. He oversees the punishment of those who commit grave crimes in life, as well as ensuring that those who attempt to escape are properly dealt with.

Although he is a naturally skilled fighter, his true strength relies on the mirror behind his back, known as the Johari-no-kagami. This treasure automatically reflects any attack directed at Enmamon, making the ruler virtually unbeatable. Lamentably, due to the rules of Yomi, Enmamon is incapable of ever leaving his realm, making his power exceedingly limited.

DarknessBagramon

Born from the fusion of DarkKnightmon and Bagramon, this imposing creature is said to have absolute domain over evil and hatred. DarknessBagramon feeds from the dark emotions and anger of both humanity and Digimon, causing its already immense power to grow without limit. It has the power to manipulate the very soul of a target, forcing it to bend to its will.

Many of the strongest and most formidable villains of the Digimon anime franchise would bend the knee in front of this ruthless tyrant, as its Imperium Vicious ability forces anyone with lesser evil than DarknessBagramon to turn them into loyal servants. Still, in terms of raw strength and magical ability, there are several other Demon-Type Digimon who far outmatch this dark tyrant.

Lilithmon X

After being imbued with the power of the X Antibody, Lilithmon transforms into a being of pure beauty, fulfilling her desire to become the most admired being in the Dark Area. Her ability to control anyone who falls in love with her becomes far more threatening, as it can now afflict almost anyone who even lays eyes on her. As such, she can command entire legions of devoted servants willing to die for their mistress.

By drawing power from her Crown of Lust, she can spread her influence over a large area, manipulating every living creature with power lesser than hers. These slaves are forced to surpass their limits, becoming several times more powerful and dangerous at the cost of their life senescence. Nonetheless, in terms of combat ability, Lilithmon X is still quite weak, so a skilled and powerful opponent could easily overcome her army and defeat her.

Beelzemon X

Beelzemon is objectively one of the most popular and beloved Demon-Type Digimon in the franchise, thanks in great part to his memorable role in the Tamers anime. Fans know just how powerful and ruthless he can be, traits that are greatly augmented after becoming infected by the X-Antibody. This virus grants Beelzemon control over El Evangelio, divine flames that can burn anyone or anything they touch to ash.

He can utilize these dangerous flames as weapons, firing them from his twin shotguns to obliterate opponents. Beelzemon X can also combine the power of his Crown of Gluttony with El Evangelio to create a massive and destructive shot that only Digimon with God-like abilities can hope to survive. A true master of the dark arts who commands an army of Fallen Angels, Barbamon X is the epitome of magical ability among the Demon-Type Digimon. He is a cruel and greedy individual who is capable of anything to acquire treasures and knowledge. The X-Antibody merged his powerful magical staff with his right arm, allowing him to cast destructive and terrifying spells with ease.

Barbamon X uses an overwhelming amount of powerful magical attacks to ensure an opponent will fall before his might. He will then rip out their Digicore to transform them into gems, adding them to his horde of treasures. Woefully, Barbamon X does not possess any physical ability, relying entirely on magic, making him particularly vulnerable against agile and mighty opponents.

Leviamon X

Feared across the entire Digital World for being a bloodthirsty and savage beast, Leviamon X is a massive creature whose body has become a living weapon. Its regular form is already considered one of the largest Digimon in the world, and thanks to the X-Antibody, it has become even more massive. Its back sprouts a colossal pair of wings, granting it domain over the skies themselves.

The jaws of this threatening beast are full of razor-sharp fans that can tear opponents apart effortlessly. The spear-like ends of its various tails can pierce enemies from all directions, making it a major threat even to entire teams of powerful Digimon. Its only weakness is its innate need to take prolonged rests in the depths of the Net Ocean, although the moment it wakes up, destruction is sure to come.

The living embodiment of rage and destruction, Belphemon X is more akin to a rampaging force of nature. The X-Antibody has increased the anger and desire for blood of its original form, turning its blind hatred for any living creature into a targeted desire to destroy anyone he considers an enemy. The strength demonstrated by this monster goes far beyond what a regular human can conceive.

In battle, Belphemon X can destroy entire battalions with its claws in the most brutal way possible, causing the rest of the opponents to feel profound terror. Those who are left alive for longer lose their will to fight, knowing that their efforts are futile against this beast. When all else fails, Belphemon X can fuel his hatred into the Crown of Rage, launching a massive beam of red energy that kills anything it touches.

Daemon Super Ultimate

After absorbing the data of Arkadimon, one of the strongest Digimon of all time with the ability to absorb the data and powers of any opponent, Daemon ascended to a whole new level: Super Ultimate. This form is known for being the master of anger and evil, utilizing its oppressive energy to manipulate their emotions and alter their data.

Due to Arkadimon’s data being a part of its body, this being has the innate strength and resilience of thousands of Digimon, capable of withstanding even attacks from Angel-Type Digimon. Daemon Super Ultimate can utilize its own darkness to create a wave of corrupt data that slowly destroys opponents and the environment, with only the strongest of all warriors being able to fight back against it.

On its own, Lucemon is one of the most intriguing beings in the Digital World, with a power that far exceeds that of a regular Mega-Level Digimon even as a Rookie. After being infected by the X-Antibody, this monster becomes a god-like creature with power over reality itself, with many saying its power surpasses even that of a true deity.

Lucemon X’s wisdom grants it the power to rearrange the universe to its will, holding absolute power over the forces of creation and destruction. His main attacks are condensed and destructive balls of energy, akin to a small Sun, that instantly erase any Digimon they touch. Those who die by this technique are absorbed by Lucemon X, granting him even more power.

Ogudomon X

The ultimate avatar of death and destruction in the Digital World, Ogudomon X is the fusion of all Seven Great Demon Lords powered by the enigmatic abilities of the X-Antibody. This creature exists for the sole purpose of destroying the Digital World, causing untold destruction and devastation in its wake.

Its tentacles can be turned into weapons, each with the inherent ability of one of the Demon Lords, granting it a wide arsenal of attacks to defeat opponents. Its resilience has no equal in the Digital World, as it was capable of fighting against an entire army and all members of the Royal Knights without suffering any significant damage. Not only is Ogudomon X the strongest Demon-Type of all, but it is by far one of the mightiest beings in the entire Digimon franchise.
