Soon after the fight, Brand Risk Promotions interviewed Larry Wheels following his bout against Vitaly. The fight ended in a no-contest after the bodybuilder seemingly suffered a torn bicep. Wheels claimed that the injury was “not an excuse,” stating:

“I stay surprisingly composed, I was throwing some wild hooks, put all my power into it. I wasn’t holding back…. I was the one that got hurt…. This is not an excuse, I was having fun. I’m like a minute into the damn first round…. I had a ton of fun in there and now I feel like I have unfinished business in boxing…. I gotta get back to the drawing board, talk to some professionals.”
