6 Anime Transformations That Can Rival Broly’s Full Power Super Saiyan, Ranked

Broly has been part of the Dragon Ball franchise for many years, with his first appearance coming in the 1993 film Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. Although he went on to become one of the most beloved characters in the broader series, it wasn’t until 2018 when he was finally made canon.

Just like his non-canon counterpart, Dragon Ball Super’s Broly held incredible potential, which allowed him to surpass just about everyone else. However, with his new forms, his strength is far above that of his deranged Z counterpart, and these memorable anime transformations could rival Broly’s Full Powered Super Saiyan state.

Imu’s Devil Form Outputs Unparalleled Haki

Series: One Piece

As the ruler of the One Piece world, Imu’s strength exists on a scale far beyond the others in his universe. While it may be laughable to put him on the level of some Dragon Ball characters, especially Broly, Imu’s hybrid Zoan form has shown some pretty substantial feats of power, particularly in regard to his immense Conqueror’s Haki.

While Broly easily out-stats him in just about every category, Imu’s access to Maki and the World Weapons certainly makes this match-up more interesting, especially when considering powerful armaments like Bohu, which was shown to eradicate the living things in its surrounding area once summoned. Broly certainly has the win here, but it may not be as easy as most people think.

Ichigo’s Horn of Salvation + True Bankai State Is Incredible

Series: Bleach

Out of the Big 3 of shonen anime, Bleach is perhaps the series that comes closest to Dragon Ball in terms of overall power scaling, with the main characters easily reaching the highest tiers of power towards its ending. The protagonist, Ichigo, is certainly not an exception to this rule, as his True Bankai + Horn of Salvation state makes him truly overpowered.

By giving Ichigo the ability to merge his Quincy, Shinigami, and Hollow powers, the resulting transformation gains enough Spiritual Pressure to become entirely unchallenged in the verse, as it was the state that Ichigo used to defeat Yhwach. Due to the incredible firepower that Ichigo boasts in this form, many believe he could give Broly a run for his money.

Madara Became the Jinchuriki for the Ten Tails

Series: Naruto

Although Kaguya is the actual big bad of the Naruto series, the strongest transformation in the entire timeline of the show came at the hands of Madara, who used his incredible strength, experience, and knowledge to bring forth a form that was almost impossible to defeat, and so had to be written out in a controversial way.

Madara’s strength in his base state was already incredible, as few in the world could even challenge him. However, his Ten-Tails Jinchuriki form gave him access to some of the most broken Jutsu and hax that could be quite interesting against Broly, which is why he was only defeated in a very roundabout way through a betrayal by Black Zetsu.

Cosmic Garou’s Strength Destroyed Many Galaxies

Series: One Punch Man

Although the One Punch Man franchise follows the strongest being in the universe, Saitama, the most broken transformation of them all goes to Cosmic Garou. Upon receiving untold cosmic power from the enigmatic God, Garou’s strength grew to match Saitama’s own, which eventually led to the greatest battle ever put to the manga format.

Unlike the others before it, Cosmic Garou could very directly fight against Broly’s Full Powered Super Saiyan state in an all-out brawl due to his incredible latent power. Against Saitama, Garou was able to move massively faster than light, and a clash against the Caped Baldy was great enough to create a void in space that was millions of light-years across, so a fight between him and Broly may be quite even.

2

Jinwoo’s Shadow Monarch Form Is Broken

Series: Solo Leveling

Many consider Solo Leveling to be the spiritual successor to Dragon Ball, and its power scaling is a very big reason for this. Originally starting off as a measly and weak Hunter, Jinwoo eventually gained access to the System, which allowed him to level up his stats almost infinitely to eventually become the greatest force in his universe.

Just like Cosmic Garou, Jinwoo’s incredible strength allows him to fight quite well against Broly. Due to his Shadow Monarch state giving him full control over shadows and darkness itself, as well as countless soldiers in his Shadow Army, Jinwoo becomes one of the greatest Broly is ever likely to fight, with some even believing that he would beat the Legendary Super Saiyan.

Beast Gohan Has Already Fought Broly

Series: Dragon Ball Super

For many years, fans have wanted Gohan to return to the forefront of the series. This prayer was finally answered in the Super Hero Arc, during which Gohan underwent an incredible new transformation that made full use of his boundless potential in order to finally bring him to the level of Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta.

Although all five of the heroes in this tier are equal in terms of strength, Beast Gohan is of particular interest due to his striking similarities to Broly. Not only are both of their ultimate forms brought forth through their potential, but they are both spoken of as being very similar in terms of fighting and powering up, so they essentially represent the same kind of rivalry as Goku and Vegeta.

All these series can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
