Popular streamer Nmplol reacts to the GTA 6 leaks, declaring that leaker CyberLeek should face the death penalty for their actions.
The recent GTA 6 leaks have sparked debate across the gaming community, with popular streamer Nmplol taking an especially strong stance, calling the breach the “Worst Thing You Could Possibly Do” and arguing against the person behind it.
During the latest episode of the Punching Down Podcast, released on August 24, 2026, Nmplol and Sodapoppin discussed the ongoing leaks surrounding Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title. The episode, titled GTA 6 Gameplay Leaks Are Getting Crazy, focused on the growing amount of unreleased footage and information appearing online.
At one point in the discussion, Nmplol argued that leaking GTA 6 was a serious offense and said the person responsible should face an extremely harsh punishment:
“He has a taste for attention, and that’s where they make their mistakes. So if they find this guy, and honest to god, he should be hanged. Just in front of everybody so the world could see… That’s the worst thing that you can possibly do.”
Nmplol’s comments came as the identity behind the CyberLeek account remains unknown. Reports indicate that an unidentified person or group using the CyberLeek name first began sharing apparent GTA 6 gameplay on August 18.
The early clips showed gameplay involving Jason Duval, one of the game’s protagonists, and were followed by more footage and images.
The leaks later expanded to include what was presented as the full Leonida map, additional gameplay clips, and other unreleased material. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company, responded with copyright takedowns and has taken legal steps to identify those responsible.
Sodapoppin Believes Rockstar Will Eventually Catch GTA 6 Leaker
During the same episode of the Punching Down Podcast, released on August 24, Sodapoppin discussed the situation with Nmplol and the rest of the cast. The conversation came shortly after Nmplol argued that the person responsible for the leaks deserved severe punishment.
Sodapoppin went through the developments surrounding the leaks and pointed to the legal action already taken by Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company. Take-Two has filed subpoenas seeking information from Microsoft and Discord that could help identify the accounts and individuals connected to the leaked material.
While discussing the investigation, Sodapoppin suggested that the leakers would eventually be caught:
“They are going to find this f****. In any which way possible that they can. I’m very curious to see, number one, what he looks like and number two, what’s gonna happen to them.”
The identity of CyberLeek has not been publicly confirmed. However, the subpoenas show that Take-Two is actively working to uncover who is responsible for distributing the unreleased GTA 6 footage.
