TikToker Andree Greig Baudoin, known online as Andreethegirl, shared a final prerecorded message with her followers following her death at the age of 39.
Baudoin had documented her battle with metastatic cancer on TikTok, using the platform to share updates about her treatment and life with the disease. She died on August 22 at Calcutta House by Hospice of Acadiana in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Following her death, a video Baudoin recorded beforehand was posted to her TikTok account, allowing her to say goodbye to the community that had followed her journey.
“Hi, my TikTok family. If you’re seeing this video, it just means that my time has come and I’ve crossed over,” she began.

Baudoin explained that she initially created her TikTok account so her children would have a collection of videos they could return to in the future.
However, the account eventually became much more to her as she continued sharing her cancer journey.
“This TikTok account has become my diary. It has become my way to let things out. It has become something I turned to first,” she said.
“I started it because I wanted my kids to be able to follow my journey. And for it to be able to be accessed at any time and all times if they wanted to see me or see a video of me.”
Baudoin went on to thank those who had followed and supported her, saying she had not anticipated the community she would gain when she started posting.
“I want to just take a minute to say thank you for loving me, for praying for me, for rooting for me, even when I did all of the crazy things,” she said.
During her cancer battle, Baudoin said she pursued numerous treatments and approaches in an effort to fight the disease, including traveling to Mexico for treatment, different therapies and diets, and medications.
She said her final attempt to pursue further treatment involved trying to enter a clinical trial, but she was ultimately deemed ineligible. Baudoin claimed she believed she qualified for the trial and criticized the healthcare system based on her experience.
Baudoin also revealed that her condition had deteriorated rapidly, taking her from discussing additional treatment options to hospice care.
“The cancer has progressed so much that there’s just nothing we can do about it,” she said.
She planned to remain at home until she needed to transfer to Calcutta House, explaining that she did not want to die in her family home because she wanted it to remain “a place of life.”
Baudoin said she wasn’t afraid of dying but was devastated by the prospect of leaving her husband and children behind.
“I’m 39. I’ll never be able to see my son get married, my daughter get married. I’ll never be able to meet my grandchildren. I’ll never be able to grow old with my husband, who I love dearly,” she said.
She ended her final message by encouraging her followers to appreciate their health and the everyday experiences they are able to have.
“My biggest, biggest wish is that you don’t take your health and what’s in front of you for granted,” she said. “Enjoy the day in front of you.”
“Thank you for all that you’ve done for me. I love you all so much. Bye.”
