A Minnesota woman’s mugshot has gone viral after social media users noticed her striking resemblance to Jennifer Lopez.
Cyrena Anne Quast, 35, was arrested on August 30 after allegedly stealing power tool batteries from a store in Monticello, Minnesota.
However, it was Quast’s Wright County Sheriff’s Office booking photo that attracted the most attention, with stunned viewers comparing her to J.Lo.
“For a moment I thought it was JLo,” one person commented after seeing the mugshot.
“There’s a glitch in the matrix,” another wrote, while a third joked that Lopez needed to “come claim your sister” and arrange a DNA test.
Jennifer Lopez lookalike accused of stealing $580 in batteries
According to a criminal complaint obtained by The Watch MN, Quast took two double packs of power tool batteries worth approximately $580.
An employee reportedly recognized her from another theft at the store two days earlier and supplied police with a description of her vehicle and its license plate.
Wright County Sheriff’s OfficeQuast admitted taking the batteries after she was located by police. Online arrest records show that she was booked on a gross misdemeanor theft charge and released the following day.
Once the mugshot spread online, users quickly began referencing Lopez’s 2002 hit ‘Jenny from the Block.’
“In prison she’s known as Jenny from D-Block,” one joked.
“She’s definitely still Jenny from the Block,” another added, while someone else quipped: “If it was J.Lo, she should have been charged with stealing vocals.”
Records show the J.Lo lookalike has previously been arrested for other offenses including drug possession, DWI, fleeing police and providing false identification, along with several traffic violations.
Quast is only the latest unexpected celebrity doppelgänger to capture the internet’s attention. In 2023, a Taylor Swift lookalike went viral after pranking the public by going out dressed as the hit singer while surrounded by bodyguards.
Lopez has not publicly reacted to her alleged Minnesota lookalike at the time of writing.
