“Why Would a Gay Person Choose a Lifestyle That Is Probably Much Unnecessarily Harder?”: Logan Paul & Bryce Crawford Debate on Being Gay as Christians

On September 15, 2026, popular YouTuber and WWE star Logan Paul had Christian influencer Bryce Crawford as a guest on his Impaulsive podcast. The episode, titled Bryce Crawford VS Logan Paul (God Debate), covered several topics, including aliens, tattoos, and the existence of Jesus Christ. The duo also discussed homosexuality, debating whether it is a choice. Paul asked Crawford why a homosexual person would choose a lifestyle that would supposedly be more difficult for them. He said:

“If you think being gay is a choice, why would a gay person choose a lifestyle that is probably much unnecessarily harder than just being heterosexual? Because of the judgement and being shunned and potentially mocked or being made fun of.”

Bryce Crawford asked Logan Paul why he had made certain choices in his life despite knowing they could have consequences. The Christian content creator also clarified that he was not judging people who identify as homosexual. He said that, in his view, homosexuality is an aspect of life that will not “satisfy their soul.” Claiming that the issue is “deeper than an attraction to the same sex,” he stated:

“Why did you choose in the past to make bad decisions that you knew there were repercussions coming after you. Exclude religion aside of it…. By the way, me saying that I think homosexuality is a sin is not judging someone. It’s my worldview. If I think Jesus is the truth, I’m not judging them; I’m trying to point them to the truth. In my mind, I don’t think that thing is gonna satisfy their soul. Because everyone is on a quest for love. It’s deeper than an attraction to the same sex or the opposite sex. I would say the same thing to someone who’s trying to find escapism in a heterosexual marriage. Does your faith go deeper than your significant other?”

Crawford suggests that he prioritizes his faith in Jesus. He says that “Jesus made an original design for people.” Speaking to Logan Paul, he also explains that he hands over the reins of his life to God, regardless of his personal feelings or choices. He said:

“It’s deeper than that. It is about the man himself, Jesus Christ. So, if someone is in a homosexual lifestyle and they wanna follow Jesus, Jesus made an original design for people. We’re trusting that his way is better; they would be practicing self-control because they’re trusting that God’s way is better…. I’m handing the reins of my life to God despite how I feel, despite what I wanna do, despite what I care about, because what I care about may not be what’s best for my life, whether that’s with sexuality, alcohol, drugs, friend groups I hang out with, my job maybe that’s a distraction.”

Bryce Crawford Explains His Views on Homosexuality to Logan Paul

Bryce Crawford explained to Logan Paul why he believes some people struggle with homosexuality. During the discussion, he also brought up sexually transmitted diseases as part of his argument. Claiming that “God designed man and woman to come together,” he said this at the 54:03 mark of the podcast episode:

“Would you guys personally say someone’s born gay or born straight?…. I think that people are born into sin and some people struggle with homosexual attraction, some people struggle with i****** attraction…. But when God is talking about homosexuality, he’s not trying to be a buzzkill. Spiritually, God designed man and woman to come together. Practically, why is it that AIDS and HIV is more prominent in homosexual environments than it is in heterosexual environments? It’s because people are put in certain places that they shouldn’t go.”
