According to The Nerd Wire, Christensen answered a question about his strangest fan encounter by recalling an attempted burglary that took place several years ago.

The actor explained that he was on the phone when he heard his front door open and someone walk upstairs. Assuming it was his friend, he initially thought nothing of it.

When he eventually went to investigate, he discovered a stranger carrying an armful of his belongings.

“I’m like, is this a delivery guy?” Christensen recalled. “And I look and I’m like, this is all my stuff.”

Christensen said the would-be thief apologized after recognizing him.

The man immediately recognized the Star Wars actor and began apologizing, handing back the items he had taken.

Christensen said the intruder explained that he had been trying to raise enough money to buy a ticket home. Instead of calling police, Christensen said he offered to drive the man to the train station the following day and pay for his ticket.

The actor also took him upstairs and gave him some clothes and a pair of shoes after the man explained that he was struggling to find work because he didn’t have anything suitable to wear.

Christensen said the man never returned to take him up on the offer of a free train ticket.
