Where to Find Clown Luggage in PEAK (Jester Badge)

Getting the Jester Badge in PEAK’s Final Ascent update sounds simple, but finding three Clown Luggage pieces in one expedition can be surprisingly tricky. The badge requires players to find and open three clown-faced luggage cases in a single run.

Since PEAK uses daily procedural map seeds, the location of the Clown luggage can change each day. That said, we’ve found at least two of them in the Citadel biome so far. Keep reading to learn how to unlock the Jester Badge.

How to Unlock the Jester Badge in PEAK

Opening a Clown Luggage in PEAK

The requirement for the Jester Badge is to open three Clown Luggage cases during a single expedition. Finding one or two cases isn’t enough if the expedition ends before the third case is opened.

Clown Luggage looks different from regular luggage because it has a funny clown face on it. It can be hidden under platforms, behind structures, or somewhat away from the obvious climbing path. The requirement for the Jester Badge is three Clown Luggage in one continuous run, so progress does not carry over after a failed climb or new expedition.

Keep the daily seed in mind. A location that worked yesterday may not work today. The Jester Badge requirement remains the same, but the route used to find the three Clown Luggage cases can change.

For example, the one luggage on day one was accessible in the Roots biome, but the second day featured the Tropics biome instead because of the daily map changes, and we couldn’t find the case in the Tropics biome.

Clown Luggage can contain dangerous items such as Dynamite, so do not assume that opening every case is completely safe.

Jester Badge Reward

Once three of these cases have been opened during the same climb, the Jester Badge is awarded, along with the Jester Hat and Jester Outfit as a reward.

PEAK Clown Luggage Locations

PEAK Clown Luggage Locations

The Day 1 and Day 2 maps give us an idea of where Clown Luggage can spawn. So far, we’ve been able to find Clown Luggage at these locations.

Clown Luggage

Location

First

The Roots biome, on the right side of the map near a huge tree.

Second

The Citadel, underneath and between platforms around the middle section

Third

The Citadel, around the later section near the end.

The first case is the one that is easiest to miss. After entering Roots map, check the right side of the area around the large red tree. It is not placed directly on the most obvious path, so players following the main route can easily walk past it.

After opening it, continue through Alpine and Gloom rather than ending the expedition. We found the remaining two cases in The Citadel.

How to Reach The Citadel Biome for the Jester Badge

Best Items to Use in THE CITADEL

The Citadel is the fifth biome in PEAK when it appears in the current daily mountain rotation, so reaching it requires completing the four biomes before it without ending the expedition.

For the Jester Badge, this is especially important because there are a couple of Clown Luggage cases in the Citadel biome.

After exploring the Roots biome, continue through Alpine and Gloom biomes as normal. Focus on staying alive and saving useful items because The Citadel can be dangerous once you reach its higher sections.

The Citadel’s main danger comes from its traps rather than roaming enemies. Watch for the swinging circular obstacles, green laser traps, floor spikes and large moving blades. White rocks are another obstacle to keep in mind. Touching them builds a status effect that reduces part of the extra stamina bar.

Items such as the Rescue Claw, Chain Launcher, Big Lollipop or Jetpack can make exploring difficult sections of the Citadel easier.

Once inside The Citadel, slow down and check beneath platforms, around ladders and along alternate paths. The Clown Luggage cases are easy to miss if you don’t explore.

While we’ve consistently found them in the same locations, the Citadel positions may not be permanent due to the game’s daily seed. The key is to reach the Citadel during the same expedition in which you find the first Clown Luggage, then carefully search the biome for the remaining Clown Luggage cases.

FAQs

How many Clown Luggage are needed for the Jester Badge in PEAK?

Three Clown Luggage cases must be opened during the same expedition. Opening one or two and then starting another run does not complete the requirement.

Do Clown Luggage locations change in PEAK?

Yes. PEAK‘s procedural daily map system changes the mountain and item placements, so Clown Luggage does not have one permanent set of locations.

What do you get for unlocking the Jester Badge?

Unlocking the Jester Badge rewards the Jester Hat and Jester Outfit.
