American politician and talk radio host Joe Walsh is encouraging the people to vote against the Republicans in the coming elections.

On October 28, 2026, former Republican Joe Walsh is encouraging Americans to avoid voting for Republicans. In his post on X, the now Democrat reposted a clip of Michael Pretti grieving for his son, Alex Pretti. Earlier this year, federal immigration agents killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. Alex was an intensive care nurse who tried to help a woman on January 24, 2026. According to Michael Pretti, he learned about his son’s death from the media. The former Republican urged people to vote against Republicans, saying it will prevent such senseless killings.
“If for no other reason, vote against every [expletive] Republican on the ballot because of this. Because of this disgrace, this shame. What happened to Alex Pretti should never happen in America.” Walsh wrote on X.
According to Michael Pretti, no one from their family was contacted by the federal government. Instead, he claimed that Alex Pretti was smeared on national television.

Joe Walsh Is Urging Americans to Vote Against Republicans in the Coming Elections

Joe Walsh is pointing out that the killing of Alex Pretti should convince voters to avoid Republicans. On the day of Alex Pretti’s death, ICE agents were in the area to detain an illegal immigrant. Michael Pretti claims his son was nothing but an observer, and it was not a protest. However, agents tackled him and reportedly recovered a handgun strapped to his waist.
Regardless of the circumstances, Joe Walsh claims it is a shame and a disgrace to the country. At one point, he called President Donald Trump an enemy of America and a traitor.
