On October 27, 2026, Alejandro Pueblas was live on A24, standing in a flooded street in Puerto Vilelas, in Chaco province, describing the water and the damage, when a small dog came past him on the current. He broke off, waded in and grabbed it. In the scramble, he went under completely and came back up with the dog held against him. On October 29, 2026, Reddit user u/lukigeri cut the clip and posted it to r/LivestreamFail, and netizens voiced their opinions.

“What a champion,” Reddit user u/WadingPatiently said.

“It seems like that dog immediately knew the human was a place of safety. Stopped letting the current carry them and started paddling towards him,” Reddit user u/Theyna commented.

“A true man,” Reddit user u/iToyman stated.

“Ah, finally, a LivestreamWin,” Reddit user u/HellspawnedJawa wrote.

“**** respect for getting that $250 mic wet to save a dog,” Reddit user u/Ancient-Civilization said.

Instagram account widix.forthelife posted Pueblas’s words afterward, and he was honest about the gap in the footage. He explained that they could not record the entire event because saving the life of the animal was the priority. The reporter stated:

“We could only record part of what happened, because in that moment the only important thing was saving his life.”

He named the dog Bartolo, then Bartolito, and reported that it had eaten, had somewhere safe to stay and, hours later, was back with its family. He also used the post to point at the animals an emergency like this leaves behind. He said:

“In the middle of the floods there are many animals that end up trapped, abandoned or exposed to danger, and they need help too.”

Explaining the rescue on air, he gave a shorter answer: “It’s a life.”
