Trading System Overhaul
Adopt Me just rolled out a major overhaul to its trading system. The update focuses on scam prevention, a cleaner UI, and new quality-of-life features that the community has been requesting for years.
New Trading Interface
The trade window has been completely redesigned. Both players now see a side-by-side comparison of offered items with rarity indicators, Neon/Mega status badges, and age labels. No more guessing if that pet is actually Full Grown.
Confirmation System
Trades now require a double confirmation step. After both players accept, there’s a 5-second countdown with a final “Confirm Trade” button. Either player can cancel during the countdown. This prevents the classic bait-and-switch scam where players swap items at the last second.
Trade History
A new Trade Log is accessible from your inventory. It shows your last 50 trades with timestamps, including what you gave and received. If you need to report a scam, you can share your trade log directly with Adopt Me support.
Value Indicators
Items now display a community value tier badge (Low, Mid, High, Top) based on aggregated trade data. This isn’t a price tag – it’s a rough guide to help newer players avoid unfair trades. The tiers update weekly.
Other Changes
- Trade requests now show the other player’s offer count
- You can now search your inventory during trades
- Wishlist system added – tag pets you’re looking for and get notified when a nearby player has them
- Maximum trade slots increased from 9 to 12
