There are multiple types of legendary artifact in STALKER 2, and they all provide effects that are typically much stronger than regular ones. However, as their category implies, these artifacts are either very rare, or found only in very specific parts of the Zone. Below is a full list of every legendary Artifact in STALKER 2, including the ones that are exclusive to the CNPP and Iron Forest areas from the Cost of Hope DLC.

The Cost of Hope DLC for STALKER 2 added four new legendary artifacts, all of which can only be obtained if you own the expansion pack. This includes Flare Light and Flickering Flare, the only two artifacts in the game so far that provide Psi protection.

Heart of a Shadow of Chimera is the best all-around defensive artifact in STALKER 2 thanks to the modest boost it provides to all resistances apart from Psi damage and radiation. However, this artifact has a 4/5 radiation rating, so you likely won’t be able to use it together with other legendary artifacts that also emit radiation. You can counter this by upgrading your equipped suit, or use artifacts that provide Radiation Dispersion.
