Popular flyweight MMA fighter and UFC star Allan Nascimento passed away on the morning of August 3, 2026, after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep, according to a statement from the UFC.

The promotion announced Nascimento’s passing in a post on X, offering condolences to the fighter’s loved ones. According to the statement, Nascimento was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts from the responding medical team:

“This morning, Monday, August 3rd, our beloved flyweight fighter, Allan Nascimento, was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep. Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, teammates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”

Following the announcement of Allan Nascimento’s passing, the MMA community came together in droves to pour in love and pay their respects. Leading the charge was Charles Oliviera, MMA fighter and close friend of Nascimento, who posted the following on his Instagram story:

“Today I lost a brother. What a battle you fought. Thank you for always being there, for sharing the mats and the octagon with me. I have nothing but gratitude for having you by my side, brother, during training, during our runs, and all the times we hung out.” 

MMA fighter Caio Borralho called Nascimento one of the “most kind fighters” that he had ever met:

“He was one of the most kind fighters that’s I’ve ever met! Polite, good energy and always in good spirits! He will be missed.”

Fans of the sport also mourned the late fighter’s death. Several of them were in shock as they had seen the fighter in the Octagon a little over a month ago. One user expressed his shock at the news: 

“Rest In peace man crazy he literally just fought a little over a month ago man..life is f****** crazy so do whatever you can to make the most of it.” 

Another user expressed a similar sentiment:

“Rest in Peace Allan, just fighting a month ago too. what a short life we live.”
