Yuji Itadori’s Pre-Sukuna Form Proves He Was Never an Ordinary Human
Yuji Itadori is an Occult Club member at the beginning of the story. Despite his impressive athletic prowess that attracted sports clubs, such as the track and field team, he chose to join the Occult Club to better manage his time in school and in the hospital.
In this pre-Sukuna form, Yuji Itadori already boasts above-average physical strength, speed, and combat endurance. He can outmaneuver sports coaches, fellow students, and, more impressively, low-level cursed spirits.
Without harnessing Cursed Energy, Yuji can hold his own against cursed spirits while helping Megumi Fushiguro. At the same time, Yuji showed great courage and potential by recklessly consuming Sukuna’s finger, not to mention maintaining control of his own body with little to no understanding of the power he had just awakened.

Yuji Itadori’s Rookie Form Survived Impossible Jujutsu Missions
Joining Tokyo Jujutsu High is not for the weak and faint of heart, as being a first-year student doesn’t mean Yuji Itadori is exempted from fighting difficult battles that would overwhelm even the most experienced jujutsu sorcerers. With no formal training and proper knowledge about Cursed Energy and the dangerous world he’s thrown in, Yuji has very little to rely on besides his extraordinary physical abilities and quick adaptability in his first battles.
Worse, Yuji must maintain complete control of his body while wielding a cursed tool against cursed spirits and even a special-grade finger bearer in this state. Despite his poor winning conditions, Yuji Itadori defied expectations and, in the process, increased his power level.

Yuji Itadori’s Revived Form Overwhelmed Mahito
Yuji Itadori’s formal training in the art of harnessing Cursed Energy officially begins after Ryomen Sukuna revived him. Under Gojo Satoru’s guidance, Yuji’s combat abilities with cursed energy greatly improved, despite his inability to unleash cursed techniques. He even witnessed how Domain Expansions work through Gojo’s phenomenal display of power against Jogo.
A month later, Yuji was still struggling to control his Cursed Energy, as its delayed flow continued to hinder his ability to fight efficiently. Even so, Yuji can already damage his opponent’s soul with his punches, making his physical attacks far more dangerous than his previous ordinary strikes. At this point, Mahito experienced just how dangerous Yuji can be with his ability to directly threaten his very existence for the first time.

Yuji Itadori’s Kyoto Goodwill Form Unleashed a Black Flash User
Yuji Itadori rejoins his allies in the Kyoto Goodwill Event, where he shows the results of his cursed energy training with Gojo and Nanami. In this fighting form, Yuji can hold his own against multiple Kyoto High students who want him dead. Likewise, he can engage with a special-grade-cursed spirit head-on.
With some assistance from Aoi Todo, Yuji quickly learned Black Flash and, in the process, overwhelmed Hanami with direct hits of his new ability. His quick adaptability, as well as his perfect coordination with a talented sorcerer like Todo, proves that he is ready to overcome even greater challenges ahead.

Yuji Itadori’s Culling Game Form Challenged Powerful Sorcerers
Only the strongest can survive the deadly Culling Games, and Yuji Itadori proves he has what it takes to compete with the most powerful sorcerers from both the old and modern eras without relying on anyone but himself. Gone is the happy-go-lucky Yuji Itadori seen earlier in the story, as grief and guilt force him to mature through the harsh realities of the jujutsu world.
While Yuji may still be inferior to the likes of Yuta Okkotsu, his level of power during the Culling Games Arc allowed him to withstand Kinji Hikari’s relentless attacks, survive an intense fight with Hiromi Higuruma, and even manage to fight a Megumi-possessed Sukuna for a short amount of time.

Yuji Itadori’s Shinjuku Showdown Form Was Built to Defeat Sukuna
Yuji Itadori’s most difficult mission in the original series is fighting Ryomen Sukuna and defeating him without fail. To ensure 100% success, Yuji learned and improved his techniques, from Blood Manipulation, Reverse Cursed Technique, and Shrine to his very own domain expansion.
Without Yuji, Ryomen Sukuna would have continued his reign of terror in the series. His techniques and his very presence were game changers, and while he would fail to defeat Sukuna by himself, the fact that he could stand against the King of Curses and survive proves how far he had grown as a jujutsu sorcerer.

Sukuna-Possessed Yuji Itadori Is an Unstoppable Force
As fans know, Ryomen Sukuna can possess Yuji Itadori’s body at will. Their switch happens multiple times in the story, allowing Sukuna to show off his terrifying cursed techniques. One of his best showings of power happened during the Shibuya Incident, where Sukuna humbled Jogo without breaking a sweat.
That’s not all, as Sukuna further wreaked havoc by fighting the Divine General Mahoraga, nearly destroying everything within Shibuya with his overwhelming power. In this state, stopping a Sukuna-possessed Yuji Itadori may only be possible for the strongest jujutsu sorcerers, such as Gojo Satoru, but that would still be debatable.

More than 60 years after Ryomen Sukuna’s fall, Yuji Itadori has successfully surpassed every jujutsu sorcerer in the series when it comes to level of power. He currently holds the title of the most powerful sorcerer, capable of crushing former rivals such as Mahito in a flash. His unaging body prevents his power from deteriorating, turning him into humanity’s ultimate weapon. Even defeating a powerful alien champion like Dabura would have been possible for Yuji with the power he holds.
With his unrivaled strength, refined techniques, and mastery over Cursed Energy, Yuji Itadori has drastically evolved into a completely different fighter from the inexperienced student he once was.
