A Chinese influencer has been “reborn” and returned to the internet after surviving a fall from the 35th floor of a building over a year ago.
When influencers and content creators suddenly disappear off the face of the earth and stop making content, fans start asking questions. Plenty of creators have departed from the internet for good, citing different reasons for quitting, while others have suffered injuries and other issues that have prevented them from posting.
In the case of Chinese influencer Wan Anan, the 27-year-old stopped updating her followers back in 2025. Local news outlets in Hunan province quickly reported that Anan had fallen from the 35th floor of a building.
As per the South China Morning Post, the 27-year-old was rushed to hospital and spent 50 days in their intensive care unit, while also undergoing a number of surgeries.

In late October, more than a year on from her fall, Wan Anan finally updated her followers, saying she’d broken “every bone” in her body during the accident.
As per doctors, she had suffered multiple severe fractures, bleeding inside her skull, extensive internal organ damage and major trauma to her cervical spine, as well as memory loss and the ability to speak at times.
“Suffering is not meant to destroy me, but to forge me,” Anan told her followers. “Life is not about being glamorous, but about the courage to face the broken pieces and piece them back together.”
The 27-year-old’s return video has gotten around 2 million likes after she told viewers she felt “reborn” after things too.
As per the SCMP, fans have told her that she is “very lucky” to be alive, but are “thankful” that she has returned to posting videos.
Back in late September, a student at the University of Georgia fell out of a 90-foot-high window and survived thanks to a metal bench breaking her fall.
21-year-old Kristin Sargent told her dad that she “couldn’t believe” she’d survived the plunge.
