Some viewers are questioning looksmaxxing influencer Androgenic after he called himself Elliot Rodger while pretending to shoot at women at a carnival. For context, Rodger was a mass shooter who shot and killed multiple people in 2014. The clip of Androgenic holding a toy gun at a carnival is from his August 28, 2026, Kick stream. @Clav0Updates shared the clip from Kick on X, garnering varying reactions from viewers.
In the video, the streamer was holding a life-sized assault rifle toy and pretended to shoot at a group of women. When one of them asked him why he was “shooting” at them, Androgenic said:
“I’m not sure. I’m Elliot Rodger.”
As mentioned, the joke is a reference to a mass shooter who killed six people and injured various others. According to the BBC, Elliot Rodger’s manifesto, recovered by the authorities, contained explicit misogynistic writings that were hailed by certain incel groups online.
Some viewers called out the Kick streamer for the joke.
“Uhhhh why do lookmaxxers keep making this joke? I mean, first it was that green goblin guy, now this,” wrote X user @thekerukeion in reply to the clip.
Others did not take it as a serious threat and dismissed the joke.

However, Elliot Rodger has also become somewhat of a phenomenon in the looksmaxxing community.
The looksmaxxing subculture emphasizes physical appearance and places great importance on one’s aesthetics. As per an analysis by CETaS (Centre for Emerging Technology and Security), a hashtag #EliotMoggerEdit emerged on social media. The hashtag is used to share video and photo edits of the mass shooter that often glorify his actions. The CETaS report highlighted the adulation of Elliot Rodger in the incel and looksmaxxing circles as a path for radicalization.
Considering how controversial Rodger is, the Kick streamer Androgenic’s joke about the mass shooter naturally caused a stir among viewers.
