In a recent interview with Miranda Devine, President Donald Trump said he didn’t have much of a war during his presidency.

During a recent interview with Miranda Devine for the Pod Force One podcast, President Donald Trump talked about war. Miranda Devine asked how the president feels when Republicans are angry about him failing to keep his promise about not starting wars, and he gave an unfiltered response.
“Well, um… I haven’t had much of a war. If you think about it, there are also people who are angry because I didn’t completely annihilate them.”
Miranda Devine raised the subject on Pod Force One, her New York Post podcast, in an episode released Monday. She told him many Republicans were angry, believing they had elected a president who would avoid war.

President Donald Trump Downplays a Question About War in a Recent Interview

He turned to history, listing how long past wars ran and what they cost in lives.
“Actually, very little war if you think about it. We lost hundreds of thousands of people in different wars over the years that lasted for, I guess Afghanistan was 12 years, Vietnam was 21 years.”
During the interview, the president talked about the war in Afghanistan and all of the American lives lost in Vietnam. While discussing his achievements, the president told reporters that Venezuela had returned hundreds of billions of dollars, many, many times, covering the Iran costs.
“We’re in our seventh month, and if you add Venezuela, we took over, that was a war, too. We took it over; we lost nobody.”
In the same interview, the president warned the Democratic Party that he would use his veto power and predicted elected officials would eventually close deals with him.
