The internet is in disbelief after streamer YonnaJay revealed she declined a full Harvard scholarship to attend Streamer University instead.
Streamer RaKai was left stunned after learning that fellow streamer YonnaJay turned down a scholarship from Harvard to attend Kai Cenat’s Streamer University.
The revelation came during an August 13, 2026, stream when RaKai and his prom date, YonnaJay, were getting ready to attend the streamer prom organized by Kai Cenat. At one point, the female streamer began talking about mental health before the conversation moved toward academics:
“Really, the autonomy of mental health is, like, kind of like your atoms and nucleus. They are just radiating. And you just don’t know no better.”
RaKai appeared confused when YonnaJay began using words like “atoms” and “nucleus.”:
“Atoms and Nucleus?”
Soon after, YonnaJay claimed that she had received a scholarship from Harvard but chose not to attend the university because she wanted to take part in Streamer University instead.
“Oh, you know I was supposed to go to Harvard. But I didn’t want to, for Streamer U. I swear. You can ask chat. I swear I literally had a scholarship to Harvard, and I didn’t go because of Streamer U.”
RaKai appeared unable to process what he had just heard:
“So you picture me over Harvard?”
YonnaJay then told RaKai to check the stream’s chat if he wanted confirmation that she was telling the truth. The 17-year-old followed her suggestion, and after seeing the messages from viewers, he realized that YonnaJay was not making the claim up:
“Boy, well, my chat does not, like, move for some reason. Holy c***. They are all saying yes. D***, you that smart?”
As snippets from the stream started circulating online, reactions soon came in from viewers who were just as surprised as Rakai.
“I can’t believe my ears,” X user @Wyd_drey wrote.
“That’s wild tbh,” X user @MoreCheesur commented.
“That’s bulls***,” X user @LinkToSavings67 said.
“How’d she even make it to Harvard?” X user @KickFeedDailyy said.
RaKai Ended the Prom Stream Soon
On August 13, 2026, RaKai was excited to take YonnaJay to the streamer prom. Ahead of the event, he even called Kai Cenat to show off his chrome suit.
Before heading to the prom, RaKai met YonnaJay and gave her a wholesome card. However, the moment quickly turned funny when YonnaJay struggled to read the message because of the 17-year-old’s handwriting.
Once they reached the destination, however, the streamers ran into an unexpected problem. The Wi-Fi connection at the location was not strong enough for RaKai to continue streaming comfortably.
RaKai acknowledged the issue during the broadcast and even suggested that he might end the stream soon:
“Not gonna lie, I might end the stream soon.”
The entire stream lasted only 49 minutes before both RaKai and YonnaJay ended the broadcast.
