Nick Fuentes says he wants a Democrat to win in 2028 because the next president will take office as the AI bubble collapses.

During far-right activist Nick Fuentes’ October 15, 2026, episode of America First on Rumble, he said he hopes a Democrat wins in 2028. He expects the AI bubble to “blow up” under the next president. An aggregator account on X, @whitesocksAF, uploaded a clip of the remarks on October 16, 2026.
The clip shows Fuentes arguing that whoever wins in 2028 will walk into a trap. He wants that person to be a Democrat. He said:
“My hope is that a Democrat inevitably wins in ’28. Wait for it. And ’28 actually is a trap card.”
The next president would inherit the fallout, Fuentes said, because the AI bubble will “blow up.” In full, he said:
“And whoever becomes the president is stepping in it because this AI bubble that our economy has been built on for the past several years is gonna blow up.”
Fuentes then described what he expects next, including a run for office by a “groyper,” the name he uses for his supporters. He was referring to Vice President JD Vance when he said:
“And then when the economy is in free fall and we’re in a true calamity, a true crisis, it is then in 2032, ’36, whatever, it is then that a groyper runs for office after Vance has been utterly annihilated politically from the face of the earth metaphorically.”
Nick Fuentes Says a Clip Criticizing the Trump Administration Went Viral With the Left

Just over three hours into the episode, Fuentes said a clip had gone viral with the Left. He thought it came from his Tuesday, October 13, show. He described it as a “six minute clip” about “the corruption in the Trump administration.”
Near the end of the clip the aggregator account uploaded on X, Fuentes returned to 2028 and pointed back to “that clip” the Left discussed. He said:
“’28 is gonna be a disaster for all the reasons I talked about in that clip that everybody on the Left was talking about.”
