Costco brings back fan-favorite churros after years of requests but they’re not permanent

Costco is bringing its fan-favorite twisted churros back to US food courts after removing them from the menu more than two years ago.

The warehouse chain confirmed the return of its Twisted Churro in a September 18 Instagram post, just days after teasing that a discontinued food court favorite was about to make a comeback.

They’re only back for a limited time

Costco first got customers talking on September 16 when it posted a cryptic video filmed beneath one of its food court menu boards.

“I can’t believe we’re bringing back [bleep] for a limited time,” one person said in the clip, with Costco inviting customers to guess what was returning.

“We’re taking guesses… Available at U.S. food court locations only,” the accompanying caption said.

Churros were among the most popular predictions alongside the combo pizza and other items, with Costco confirming the churro’s return two days later.

Per Costco’s follow-up Instagram post revealing the food court item’s return, the Twisted Churro will cost $1.49 and be available exclusively at US Costco food courts for a limited time. However, there currently isn’t a nationwide launch date.

Costco says customers should look out for the churro at their local warehouse over the coming weeks, with exact availability varying between locations.

The cinnamon-sugar treat was previously removed from Costco’s food court menu in 2024 and replaced by its Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

Its comeback has been a long time coming for churro fans, but the “limited time” part of Costco’s announcement has already prompted numerous responses calling for the snack to be made a permanent addition to the menu.

The return comes months after Costco added a Caramel Churro Sundae to its food court menu, featuring churro bites topped with vanilla soft serve and caramel sauce.
