My Hero Academia: 6 Strongest New Gen Legendary Heroes, Officially Ranked

In the early stages of the My Hero Academia story, battles were often carried out by more experienced Pro Heroes who had powerful Quirks and years of training under their belt. However, as the story progressed, we started to see the new generation rise. The new generation of Pro Heroes, especially from what we’ve seen after the timeskip, has been setting a new standard. They have proven their worth in battles during the final arc, and the new hero rankings of Japan show how far they have progressed.

  • Hero Name: Mt Lady
  • Quirk Power: Gigantification
  • Former Class: Unknown

Mt Lady is a Pro Hero who shocked everyone at the end of the series. After the war and on the back of her accomplishments, she rose through the ranks of Japan and became one of the most popular and influential Pro Heroes of her generation. Mt. Lady even surpassed the likes of Bakugo and Deku and ranked third in Japan’s latest Hero Rankings, just behind Mirio Togata and Shoto Todoroki.

She was able to go this far through her charming personality, but also through her Quirk. Her Gigantification quirk might not seem like the strongest power around, but it has proven to be strong and versatile enough to fight many threats in the My Hero Academia world.

Nejire Hado

  • Hero Name: Wonder Hero Nejire Chan
  • Quirk Power: Wave Motion
  • Former Class: UA High Class 3-A

Mirio isn’t the only member of UA High’s Big 3 to make a name for himself in My Hero Academia. His other counterpart, Nejire Hado, has made quite the impression as well.

Nejire Hado played an important supportive role during My Hero Academia’s final war, and after the conflict concluded, she went on to become one of the greatest new generation heroes, inheriting the legacy of many powerful heroes that have come before her, like All Might. She currently stands as the seventh-best hero of Japan, according to the latest rankings. Not only has she captivated the masses with her personality, but her quirk, Wave Motion, makes her a powerful Pro Hero with massive power output.

Mirio Togata

  • Hero Name: Lemillion
  • Quirk Power: Permeation
  • Former Class: UA High Class 3-A

Mirio was always supposed to be a bastion of hope and inspiration to the next generation in the world of My Hero Academia. His talent and indomitable will are what made All Might consider him to be a potential inheritor of his Quirk, One For All. While he never got the One For All Quirk, it didn’t stop his progress.

Mirio still achieved the impossible with his less-than-desirable Quirk, Permeation, which is almost unusable to anyone else. Mirio has made the best of it and turned it into a powerful asset. After the war and the timeskip of My Hero Academia, Mirio, one of the Big Three of U.A. High, has succeeded All Might and become the Number One Hero of Japan. This goes to show both his popularity and power among the new generation.

3

Shoto Todoroki

  • Hero Name: Shoto
  • Quirk Power: Half Cold Half Hot
  • Former Class: UA High Class 1-A

Alongside Deku and Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki is one of the most powerful and essential members of Class 1-A. He has become one of the most popular and powerful Heroes of the new generation. Having been born with the versatile and overpowered Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, Shoto always held massive potential. This potential was unleashed to its full extent in his battle against Toya Todoroki.

After the war, Shoto went on to become a Pro Hero, and he has taken over the spot previously held for years by his father, Endeavor. Shoto now stands as the second greatest hero of Japan and one of the best of the new generation, leading the world forward.

2

Bakugo Katsuki

  • Hero Name: Dynamight
  • Quirk Power: Explosion
  • Former Class: UA High Class 1-A

Bakugo was one of the most important students of Class 1-A. He and Deku had a terrible history, but through intense fights and challenges, they’ve grown closer after being intense rivals. Bakugo was born with a powerful Quirk, Explosion, which allows him to use his sweat to launch powerful explosions. This makes him one of the most destructive Heroes one can face. In the final arc, he proved his worth against All For One and saved All Might’s life in the process.

After the timeskip, Bakugo has become a Pro Hero. While his bad personality has kept him away from the Number One spot, his newly reignited rivalry with Deku has pushed him to become the best version of himself. He is one of the most impactful new-generation heroes and one of the strongest overall.

Izuku Midoriya

  • Hero Name: Deku
  • Quirk Power: One For All (Formerly)
  • Former Class: UA High Class 1-A

Izuku Midoriya is the main character of My Hero Academia, but he was born quite unlucky. As a child, it was revealed that he had no powers of his own. Naturally, this was bad for a boy whose dream was to one day become a Hero. Inspired by All Might, he kept pushing forward in hopes of one day achieving what he set out to become.

Eventually, Deku proved himself to All Might, who passed on to him his own Quirk, the power of One For All. With the power of One For All, Deku was able to reach new heights of strength. Among the new generation of Heroes, he is undoubtedly the greatest. He fought head-on against Shigaraki and All For One and gave it his all for victory. He even went as far as sacrificing his own Quirk to defeat the great evil plaguing the world.

At the end of the story, Deku became Quirkless once more, but through a new armor suit, he has gained abilities similar to those of his short-lived Quirk. Right now, Deku has risen in the ranks and currently sits at Number 4 in Japan. If a new My Hero Academia sequel is released, he has the potential to rise further and finally achieve his ultimate dream of becoming the greatest hero to have ever lived and take over All Might’s former Number 1 spot.

The My Hero Academia series has concluded. Its anime series, with all 8 seasons, is available to stream on the global anime platform Crunchyroll. Its manga, with all 430 chapters, is available to read on Manga Plus and Viz Media.
