A GTA 6 fan says Rockstar Games shipped them an official poster after they emailed the studio asking for one.
The fan, who lives in São Paulo, Brazil, shared the story on Reddit, describing the email as “a complete shot in the dark.”
In the message, they explained they’d bought the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition with the first paycheck from their new job, and asked whether Rockstar could send a signed poster for their bedroom wall.
The reply came on August 13. “We’ll be happy to send you a poster once they are produced,” the executive wrote, adding that they couldn’t sign it. “I can’t sign it because I’m not the creator,” they explained. “I’m just an executive at the company.”
The poster later arrived by DHL, with the shipping label showing it was sent from Rockstar’s office in New York. It features the GTA 6 key art, including Jason and Lucia.
Not everyone in the thread was convinced. Several users called the story fake, with some doubting that an executive would personally answer fan mail.
The fan pushed back in the comments, saying they had an unboxing video they planned to share once it was edited. “I don’t have anything to gain lying about this,” they wrote. “Honestly, I still can’t even believe this actually happened myself.”
Others have since claimed the same approach worked for them. One user said they emailed an executive and received a poster a few days later, while another said theirs arrived after emailing two people at the studio.
“Honestly, I expected an automated reply or nothing at all,” the fan wrote. They blurred out the executive’s name and email, and asked others not to flood the inbox with requests of their own.
“I’m pretty sure this was just a rare act of kindness from someone on their team,” they said.
