Bella Poarch claims she’s been cheated on in “almost every single relationship” and got emotional discussing her new song inspired by them.
Filipino-American singer Bella Poarch recently went on the Zach Sang Show, where she got very emotional after opening up about getting cheated on. Poarch was discussing her new album Picnic at the Cemetery when one of the hosts pointed out that one of the songs seemingly referenced adultery. The singer immediately confirmed that the song Nice To Meet Ya was a reference to her own relationships that ended after her partner cheated on her. The lyrics in question read:
“Snuck her around, our sacred ground/ Something you’ll soon regret.”
After the host read out the lyrics, Bella Poarch stated that many of her former boyfriends cheated on her. The singer said:
“So, yeah, it’s basically a story about cheating. I’ve been cheated on so many times. And it’s something that I’ve never really written before and never really shared with other people.”
The singer added that adultery has been the cause of most of her breakups:
“Almost every single relationship I’ve been cheated on, honestly. It just sucks.”

Bella Poarch Explains How One of Her Boyfriends Cheated on Her
Bella Poarch did not stop and continued explaining her heartbreak and experience with cheating boyfriends that inspired the song. The singer claimed she knew multiple women who had men step out on their relationships. Bella Poarch then explained how she found out one of her boyfriends was cheating on her. She recalled the “heartbreaking” moment when she found a selfie of the other woman on the boyfriend’s phone. Bella realized the woman took the photo inside her bedroom, confirming her suspicion of cheating:
“How I found out that he was cheating on me? It was a photo on his phone, and it was the selfie of the girl. A mirror selfie, and it was in my bedroom. Yeah, that’s how I found out. But I’m not going to say who it is. But it was just very heartbreaking to know. Of course, I just went crazy.”
She added that the boyfriend seemingly did not care about the relationship after she found out and said:
“He knew it was over. Yeah, he knew it was over. Also, he wasn’t really caring much about like the relationship at all.”
The hosts tried to lighten the mood and joked that she at least got to make music out of the experience. Bella Poarch chuckled and agreed with the sentiment. She claimed the songwriting process was fun and revealed it was a collaboration with Melanie Martinez.
