Social media reacts as Logan Paul expresses interest in a fight with Conor McGregor, with fans calling it “never happening.”

Logan Paul has once again sparked discussion about a potential fight with Conor McGregor after his interest in facing the former UFC champion.
During the latest episode of the Impaulsive podcast, which went live on YouTube on September 4, 2026, Paul discussed the possibility of stepping into the ring with McGregor. The episode featured British boxer Conor Benn as the guest, with the conversation covering boxing, crossover fights, and some of the biggest names in combat sports.
At one point, the topic turned toward McGregor. Paul made it clear that if he ever gets the opportunity to fight the Irish star, he would be willing to take it. He also suggested that the matchup between the two would be entertaining:
“If I’m the WWE champion and a fun fight comes up, like, say they pitch me Conor McGregor, and they’re like, ‘Yo, do a quick little crossover bout.’ I would love to do that. I think there’s a lot of room for that because it’s all under the TKO banner. At the end of the day, it’s gonna be highly entertaining. If you’re able to bounce back and forth on the floor, it’d be fun.”

As clips from the podcast started going viral on social media, reactions to Paul’s comments soon began pouring in:
“Never happening,” X user @kcawz_ commented.
“The only way he wins this is if he rigs the fight and pay Conor a s**t ton of money,” X user @musicbydeziz said.
“Future Headline: WWE actor gets DESTROYED by actual MMA animal,” X user @zxndhi wrote.
“Logan getting that ksi forehead,” X user @Gonzalez1zy said.
Logan Paul Believes Conor McGregor Fight Would Be a Competitive Bout
During the same September 4, 2026, episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Paul discussed the possibility of facing McGregor.
He explained that if the two ever fought, he did not think McGregor would have much impact on the bout skill-wise. However, Paul felt the former UFC champion would have a major influence when it came to promoting the fight. Paul then added that despite this, a matchup between the two would still be competitive:
“I just don’t think people are gonna believe that he could do anything impactful, because it depends on how the UFC sees it. But, like, I don’t think, given his performance in his last fight and the fights before that, you can put him on a card and expect people to think he actually has a chance at winning if the opponent is competitive, and because of that, there may be an argument that his showmanship and promotional ability would be better suited in a big crossover event. By the way, would still be competitive; I think we’d have a competitive bout.”
For now, there is no confirmed fight between Paul and McGregor. However, Paul’s latest comments have given fans another potential crossover matchup to debate.
