On August 20, 2026, streamer Shoovy went live on Kick for a stream titled Going to Aokigahara Forest. As the title suggests, Shoovy visited the internationally known “Suicide Forest.” During the broadcast, he came across an abandoned car. After peeking inside, the streamer claimed he found a note with a rope nearby. He said:
“What the hell is that?… Dude there was literally a piece of paper, bro. And, there was like a rope around it.”
After a clip from the broadcast gained traction on platforms like X and Reddit, social media users decided to share their thoughts:
“Didn’t we learn from Logan Paul like 10 years ago,” said Reddit user No_Elevator_7839.
“Insufferable chat as per usual,” commented potionseller123 on Reddit.
“This is like going to a graveyard and being surprised you found a headstone,” stated SlipperySlimyTerry40.
“Least staged streamer moment,” wrote J********456 on Reddit.
“I hate streamers too , but I more hate the people who watch them or repost them. Its like cancer,” via Reddit user finityx__.
Infamous for its suicide rate, Aokigahara gained widespread international attention in January 2018, when Logan Paul uploaded a video of himself visiting the forest. In the now-deleted footage, Paul and his team were witnessed making inappropriate remarks after encountering the body of a man who appeared to have died by suicide. The video sparked widespread outrage, and critics consider it one of the biggest controversies in YouTube history.
