Word broke on August 16 that Hayden Panettiere had died. Her passing has now been confirmed by ABC News, which reported that a representative of the actress stated that she had tragically passed away. In addition to providing the voice of Kairi in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, she also portrayed Xion in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
