Mehdi Hasan responds to Nancy Mace’s remarks on Abdul El-Sayed and raises a question about the man she “supports.”

On November 2, 2026, one day before Michigan’s Senate election, broadcaster Mehdi Hasan answered Nancy Mace’s remarks on Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed by turning to the man Hasan says she supports. The founder of the media outlet Zeteo posted the reply on X.
He did not defend El-Sayed’s record. The broadcaster went after Mace’s own political allegiances instead, listing allegations against a man he did not name in the post, and left her to answer for them.
“You support a man who was found liable for sexual abuse in court, who was recently accused of rape by a beauty contestant in a House staffer report, and who was allegedly accused of marital rape by his late first wife.”
Hasan is a broadcaster and the founder of Zeteo. The two had clashed before on Piers Morgan Uncensored, according to Mediaite. He called Mace a “racist bigot” while rejecting her claim that El-Sayed and New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani were pushing Sharia law.
Nancy Mace Calls Abdul El-Sayed “A Threat To Women”

Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican who has served in the House since 2021, has been talking about El-Sayed since he won Michigan’s Democratic primary in August 2026. Newsweek reported that she posted that “every single Muslim holding public office in America is a Trojan horse.” Mace also told CNN that “our granddaughters will be wearing burkas to school” if he were elected. On November 2, Mike Rogers shared a clip from El-Sayed’s November 1 interview on 60 Minutes and said the Democrat had called it acceptable for men to be in girls’ locker rooms. A day before the election, Mace weighed in:
“I would never allow any woman or girl anywhere near Abdul El-Sayed – that guy is going to get elected tomorrow and he is a threat to women and girls everywhere. How did he even get this far? Holy **** he’s terrible for women and girls. Like not just a little bit – he’s dangerous.”
