Former politician George Santos calls Twitch Streamer Hasan Piker a “drag queen” after a video of Hasan as a maid resurfaced on X.
On September 29, 2026, a video of Twitch Streamer and political commentator Hasan Piker, aka HasanAbi, resurfaced online in which he was dressed up as a maid in a cafe. The clip was posted by an X account, @ConservBrief, with the caption that says that Hasan is a “democratic darling” and “Abdul El-Sayed supporter.”
Subsequently, former Republican U.S. Representative and TV personality George Santos chimed in on the ongoing conversation regarding the clip and quote-tweeted it. He wrote:
“He’s a better drag queen than I ever was. Yet I’m the one accused of being a career queen lol.”
According to Reuters, Santos allegedly took part in a Brazilian beauty pageant competition as a drag queen back in 2008. The comment that Hasan is a better “drag queen” than he ever was seems to refer to the same incident.

Back in 2023, Reuters reported that George Santos was allegedly friends with a Brazilian performer whose drag name is Eula Rochard. According to her, the two became acquainted when the former Republican was in Rio de Janeiro in 2005. Additionally, Eula and another unnamed source claimed that Santos was part of multiple beauty pageants as a drag queen, as per Reuters.
However, since then, George Santos has actively denied such allegations, calling them “categorically false.” He wrote in an X post in 2023:
“The most recent obsession from the media claiming that I am a drag Queen or “performed” as a drag Queen is categorically false.
The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life while I am working to deliver results.
I will not be distracted nor fazed by this.”
