A new ‘restaurant’ has been going viral on social media, as customers are lining up to give steak served through a window in New York.
When a restaurant gets rave reviews and becomes pretty popular, it can be hard to get a reservation. That is especially true in New York, with some of the most popular restaurants having month-long waiting lists in order to get a table.
However, one of the newest ‘restaurants’ going viral doesn’t actually operate with tables, but there is still a reservation system. It’s called ‘Some Guy’s House,’ and it’s located in Brooklyn.
They only operate on Thursdays and Fridays, between five and eight in the evening, and every order comes out of a window through a custom-built pulley system. Seriously.
Some Guy’s House steak meals go viral
As a result of the unusual concept, ‘Some Guy’s House’ has caught attention on social media – Instagram in particular – with customers needing to reserve a spot online before turning up to the window.
You can risk a walk-up, but with only 72 plates available on a Thursday, and 62 on a Friday, you might find yourself out of luck. A spot costs $25, and with that you get a steak, potato, and some spinach.
One New York-based influencer called it “unbelievable” after getting a taste for themselves too, showing that plenty of folks have been pulling up for a meal.
This isn’t the first ‘restaurant’ from a house that the internet has thrown support behind. Back in April, a Norwegian pizza joint – Pizza from a balcony – went viral for selling slices to passersby.
Just like ‘Some Guy’s House’, Pizza from a balcony also delivers food using a pulley system, with some viewers being “jealous” that they couldn’t just walk up and experience it for themselves.
