TikTok star Alyshia Rushing, better known online as Mama A, has died at the age of 26 following a late-night car crash that also killed 20-year-old US Marine Landon Dunn.
Rushing had amassed more than 500,000 followers on TikTok, where she shared videos about motherhood and her daily life raising four children.
According to WAKA Action 8 News, Montgomery police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 at approximately 2:15 a.m. on August 22.
The crash occurred between the Chantilly Parkway and Taylor Road exits in Montgomery, Alabama.

Officers found Rushing, who had been driving an SUV, with fatal injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A female passenger traveling in Rushing’s vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Dunn, who was driving a pickup truck, was also found with fatal injuries and pronounced dead. Initial reporting from WSFA stated that one of the vehicles was on fire when emergency responders arrived.
A GoFundMe established for Dunn’s family was organized by Robert Howard, who said he and Dunn had served together in the US Marine Corps for a year and a half.
Howard described the incident as a head-on collision and said Dunn had been traveling to visit his family and girlfriend.
“Landon’s death has deeply affected everyone close to him, including his family, friends, and fellow Marines,” Howard wrote.
Rushing’s mother, Crystal Smitherman, also launched a fundraiser to help cover her daughter’s funeral arrangements and provide support for the four children she leaves behind.
Smitherman described Rushing as “an amazing mother of four, a content creator, and one of the strongest women I have ever known.”
Rushing uploaded her final TikTok video, which showed her trying on a wig, less than an hour before the fatal collision.
Montgomery police said the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not publicly stated what caused the collision or released findings involving either driver’s speed or possible impairment.
