Taco Bell announces new Live Mas Cafe locations with boozy Baja Blast and horchata drinks

Taco Bell is expanding its Live Mas Cafe concept into new markets across the US, bringing new specialty drinks, including horchata-inspired beverages and alcoholic Baja Blast, to select locations.

The fast food chain announced the expansion on October 15, revealing plans for new cafes in Indiana, Southern California, and Las Vegas. The announcement also includes four new drinks launching at existing locations, with select beverages heading to Taco Bell restaurants nationwide later this year.

Live Mas Cafe originally launched as a test concept focused on specialty beverages, including frozen drinks, cold brew coffee, and Refrescas. The chain now operates 39 locations and has sold approximately 1.3 million beverages since launching.

The drinks will initially be exclusive to Live Mas Cafe locations, but Taco Bell has confirmed that three horchata-inspired beverages will receive a nationwide release on December 10.

The Strawberry Horchata Refresca and Vanilla Spiced Horchata Refresca will be joined by a new Vanilla Spiced Horchata Freeze at participating Taco Bell restaurants nationwide for a limited time.

“Our fans have always loved our beverages, and the response to Live Mas Cafe has shown us they’re craving even more,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer.

“Seeing that excitement continue to grow across our Cafes tells us we’re onto something special, and we’re ready to take it even further with bold new drinks and more ways for fans to experience Live Mas Cafe.”

New Live Mas Cafe locations include boozy Baja Blast in Las Vegas

Alongside the new drinks, Taco Bell is expanding Live Mas Cafa into several additional markets before the end of 2026.

One of the biggest additions is a standalone flagship Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip, scheduled to open later this fall.

Located inside a shipping container next to the existing Taco Bell Cantina at 3717 S Las Vegas Blvd, the new location will feature more than 20 specialty beverages alongside several Vegas-exclusive alcoholic drinks.

These include Boozy Mountain Dew Baja Blast, Strawberry Passionfruit Refresca Rush, and Cold Brew Cinnatini. The location will also sell exclusive Taco Bell merchandise unavailable at other restaurants.

In Indiana, Taco Bell is opening three Live Mas Cafe locations, beginning with a grand opening in West Lafayette at 252 E State Street on October 22. Additional cafes in Greenfield and Muncie are expected to open before the end of the year.

Southern California is also receiving three new locations, with a Cafe planned for Century City Mall and additional openings scheduled in Irvine and Tustin.

The expansion follows Taco Bell’s continued investment in specialty beverages, with Live Mas Cafe serving as a testing ground for new flavors and drink formats.

According to the company, the concept has introduced nearly two dozen beverage innovations, including You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast, which became the best-selling beverage launch in Live Mas Cafe history.
