To trigger the Small Jack Frost, Big Problems quest in Genshin Impact, head to the Jack Frost Village. It’s located southeast of Snezhnograd, north of Svetloledovka and the House of Hesperides. You must help Jack Frost in the area, and then help the chief defend the village with a mini tower-defense game.

To trigger the Small Jack Frost, Big Problems quest in Genshin Impact, you must help Jack Frosts in the village until the Village Chief appears. Once the chief shows up, investigate the source of the massive ya-ho by finding a larger Jack Frost in front of a house with an ice cream sign on top.
For example, I triggered the quest after helping two Jack Frosts, one that’s squished under rubble, and another that’s bouncing between two Launching Platforms.
When you first arrive in the Jack Frost Village, Paimon will mention something about a Jack Frost being stuck. To help the stuck Jack Frost, you must build a Cube Prime Ice Construct to lift the rubble.
Next, find a snowball bouncing between two Launching Platforms, and destroy one of them to stop the bounce.
Small Jack Frost Big Problems Quest In Genshin Impact
It turns out that the big Jack Frost is the village chief. He tells the protagonist that Volkodlaks have been attacking the Jack Frost village, essentially bullying them. As a solution, the chief proposes a defense in the form of snowball launchers.
Follow the village chief to the entrance, and you’ll get a cutscene regarding what the Volkodlak usually do when they “visit” the village. You’ll also get the chance to copy the snow launcher blueprint so you can build more around the Volkodlak entry routes.
Your first task is to help place two Assault-Type Snowball Launchers. You can see the route the Volkodlak will take, and place the Prime Ice Construct: Assault-Type Snowball Launcher accordingly.
Keep in mind that there are two routes you must take care of, and the Volkodlak can destroy the Prime Ice Constructs you made, so you have to keep replacing them when needed.
You’ll also be stuck with only the Traveler (Aether or Lumine), because you can help fight the enemies off yourself. You don’t have to wait AFK for the weapons to do their job.
Once you neutralize the Volkodlak threat, follow the village chief to the village center. You’ll return to the house with the ice cream sign. You may have noticed that it’s crooked, so you must use the snowball launcher to repair it.
That’s the last step to completing the Small Jack Frost, Big Problems quest in Genshin Impact. As a reward for completing the quest, you will get the Ya-ho! Achievement and a Precious Chest, on top of the quest-completion reward.
The chief will also open the Jack Frosts’ Goodies Shop, where you can trade your Intricately Patterned Buttons for more useful items like Mora and upgrade materials.
